Holy cow! What a surprise! I was shocked! Who would have guessed that Hannibal not only has a food truck, and a Japanese Hibachi grill, but they did a mashup and put the 2 together! And the food is FABULOUS
I admit, I was hopefully skeptical, and wonderfully amazed at just how good this little gem of a little place is. In case you’re wondering where in the world this could possibly be hiding, let me give you a heads up
It is a permanent park, so you don’t have to chase it around town, (yay! right?), on James Rd. Yep, right there between St Mary’s Ave & McMaster’s Ave, next to the dry cleaners, there it sits. Open Monday through Saturday, and you can get more details from their Facebook page. Go. Enjoy. Be merry! (Photos courtesy unknown photographer, from their fb page)

We got the Hannibal roll and the Pirate roll. They were both very good. They were massive!! So much so that it was almost difficult to eat. But we managed it somehow ;) Update: 10/21 We're now addicted to this place and the Hannibal roll. We drive from quincy about every other week just to go here. Update: 6/2023 Still fabulous sushi. Has not declined at all! Update: 10/2023 They are now a brick and mortar location! Food is just as fabulous, but now you can enjoy it while dining inside. Had the hibachi noodles for the first time recently. Very good. Already they need a bigger space!

I love this hibachi. First of all they have the best sushi and hibachi I've yet to eat anywhere and I'm from St Louis but when I come here to visit my son I always stop. Most places that do hibachi don't give you the take out experience unless ordering ahead or to go. But I love this place just makes it and it's expected to be convenient and fast. They give you a beeper and you sit in your car once it goes off you pick up your food at the truck. Okinawa is a city in Japan which is where Okinawa owner moved here from. This truck must stay locally. Great job guys.

From the moment I walked into this restaurant, I had a feeling things might not go well. Unfortunately, that turned out to be true. The staff were noticeably unwelcoming and inattentive. Neither my family nor I received a greeting upon arrival, and there was no acknowledgment or appreciation for our business at any point during our visit.

For my entrĂ©e, I ordered the hibachi noodles with salmon, steak, and shrimp. Sadly, all of the proteins were overcooked and dry, lacking any flavor or care in preparation. I also tried the spicy crunchy tuna roll, which was a major letdown. For a restaurant that features “sushi” in its name, I expected much better quality and attention to detail.

Overall, it felt as though customer experience and food quality were not priorities here. The service came across as disinterested, and the food seemed hastily prepared, without any passion or pride. As someone visiting from out of town, I was genuinely excited to try something new, but I left feeling disappointed and dissatisfied.

I do not plan to return, and I intend to contact the manager directly to address the poor service we experienced. Good customer service and food made with care should be the standard—regardless of the day or the...

EDIT TO ADD EVEN MONTHS LATER AFTER THIS REVIEW. Portions are slowly getting smaller STILL. 40$ on 2 plates thrown in the trash because thats exactly how it tasted. This place makes me never want to eat at any other Hibachi place ever again. Today was their last chance, I won't return. Don't forget your credit card tips don't go to the person serving you but the Cooks only.

Ever since they left the food truck they've gone down hill! My food is never right. I pay for steak and chicken but they always forget 1. If they don't forget it they have rice all over it and I don't order rice, I get noodles. Rice makes me gag. The portions are waaaay smaller now too. And don't expect an apology of any kind for their mess up. Horrible...
