From the moment I walked into this restaurant, I had a feeling things might not go well. Unfortunately, that turned out to be true. The staff were noticeably unwelcoming and inattentive. Neither my family nor I received a greeting upon arrival, and there was no acknowledgment or appreciation for our business at any point during our visit.
For my entrée, I ordered the hibachi noodles with salmon, steak, and shrimp. Sadly, all of the proteins were overcooked and dry, lacking any flavor or care in preparation. I also tried the spicy crunchy tuna roll, which was a major letdown. For a restaurant that features “sushi” in its name, I expected much better quality and attention to detail.
Overall, it felt as though customer experience and food quality were not priorities here. The service came across as disinterested, and the food seemed hastily prepared, without any passion or pride. As someone visiting from out of town, I was genuinely excited to try something new, but I left feeling disappointed and dissatisfied.
I do not plan to return, and I intend to contact the manager directly to address the poor service we experienced. Good customer service and food made with care should be the standard—regardless of the day or the...
Read moreHoly cow! What a surprise! I was shocked! Who would have guessed that Hannibal not only has a food truck, and a Japanese Hibachi grill, but they did a mashup and put the 2 together! And the food is FABULOUS… I admit, I was hopefully skeptical, and wonderfully amazed at just how good this little gem of a little place is. In case you’re wondering where in the world this could possibly be hiding, let me give you a heads up… It is a permanent park, so you don’t have to chase it around town, (yay! right?), on James Rd. Yep, right there between St Mary’s Ave & McMaster’s Ave, next to the dry cleaners, there it sits. Open Monday through Saturday, and you can get more details from their Facebook page. Go. Enjoy. Be merry! (Photos courtesy unknown photographer, from...
Read moreEDIT TO ADD EVEN MONTHS LATER AFTER THIS REVIEW. Portions are slowly getting smaller STILL. 40$ on 2 plates thrown in the trash because thats exactly how it tasted. This place makes me never want to eat at any other Hibachi place ever again. Today was their last chance, I won't return. Don't forget your credit card tips don't go to the person serving you but the Cooks only.
Ever since they left the food truck they've gone down hill! My food is never right. I pay for steak and chicken but they always forget 1. If they don't forget it they have rice all over it and I don't order rice, I get noodles. Rice makes me gag. The portions are waaaay smaller now too. And don't expect an apology of any kind for their mess up. Horrible...
