It was a Friday evening, and we decided to swing by your local Sonic Drive-Thru to grab a quick bite to eat. We were feeling a bit hungry and thought some crispy tater tots and chicken tenders would hit the spot. As we pulled up to the order board, I could already hear the staticky voice of the employee taking your order, which added a layer of frustration to our experience. We placed the order with high hopes, eagerly anticipating the savory goodness that was about to come our way. However, things took a disappointing turn as we received your food. The tater tots, which should have been golden and delicious, were anything but. Instead, they were cold and stale, lacking that satisfying crunch and warmth that my daughter was expecting. It was like they had been sitting out for hours, losing all their appeal. But the worst part was yet to come. The chicken tenders, those crispy pieces of joy, were rock hard and seemed to have been overcooked to the point of no return. They were not just tough to chew, but nearly impossible to bite through. It was as if you had ordered a bag of pebbles instead of a delicious meal. My excitement turned into frustration and disappointment as I bit into the first chicken tender and realized it was inedible. We attempted to salvage our meal by dipping the tater tots in ketchup, hoping to mask the staleness, but it didn't do much to improve the situation. As we sat in our car, we couldn't help but wonder how Sonic had managed to serve such subpar food. It was a stark departure from the expectations we had for a quick, tasty meal. In the end, our worst Sonic experience left us with a growling stomach and a sense of regret for not choosing a different dining option...
Read moreEverytime I go to America's Drive-In AKA Sonic, they always find a new way to disappoint me. Each time I have went to this place, I go with a set amount of expectations that are never met.
My order was very simple, however they managed to find a way to deliver poorly on this. It was a reasonably hot day and I had just got done taking my son out to the park. I thought what would be better to finish the day off than with a root beer float, a Cherry Coke, some tater tots, and grilled cheese sandwich to share with him. These are two of the most basic items that any person can make at home...
The the bread they use for the grilled cheese was old. When I was attempting to pull it apart for my son, it had a stale texture. The root beer float was more ice cream than root beer. They literally took a 32oz cup, put in maybe 4 oz of root beer and fill the rest with ice cream. This is not an exaggeration. By the time I got to the float, the ice cream literally absorbed the root beer. So it was more like a root beer-flavored ice cream at the bottom. The rest was all plain vanilla ice cream. How could something so simple get so screwed up.
The Cherry Coke and tater tots we're okay at least, hence why this isn't a one-star review.
The working crew and atmosphere was nice, that was never really an issue. The issue is everyone is more focused rushing through their job than just simply doing their job right.
Hopefully they will do...
Read moreMost of the time, I don't get the cheese sauce included. Those cost, so if they are not including it, it's basically stealing from the consumer purchasing the item with the sauces included. Then, if an order is made wrong, they don't have the decency to be courteous about it. The manager herself, the carhops.. act annoyed you're there in the first place. I understand dignity in being paid well for a job and expectations aren't high. But it shouldn't be a very uncomfortable situation to get your order right. I ordered two chicken burgers, one chipotle for myself and the original jr chicken. They gave two Chipotles, one made as the menu and the other "plain" like the original jr. chicken would have been, except instead of mayo and ketchup, had only chipotle sauce. Mistakes like that aren't safe, my daughter eas caught so off guard on how spicy. Seeing it plain on the outside, had no idea it had only a bit of the chipotle sauce inside. They weren't told about my daughter specifically but they say nothing, no simple meaningless "apologies". Just grunt and pout, awkward.
See, they keep asking us to report further so maybe we...
