The restaurant is dead and it still took over an hour to get the order. 1/24 - We came back to visit as we were asked by the owner in the reply below this review. The owner said the previous visit was messed up due to the pandemic. That they were understaffed. This visit, I saw three waitresses, a bartender, and kitchen staff.. We waited 20 minutes to be recognized. A table next to us had friends of a waitress. She talked to her friends for the whole 20 minutes. We had to vocally stop her from talking in order to get recognized. She said she was sorry, but that she wasn't our waitress and therefore not her responsibility. The bartender finally came to our table asking our drink order. We waited another 15 to get our meal order taken. 20 minutes later, we received notice they were out of the food the food we ordered. That means 20 minutes after we finally ordered, they tried to begin. We got here at 2:05p. Finally received food at 3:40. Except, the orders were wrong. Wife ordered a pulled pork burger. They delivered no burger. Friend ordered a cheeseburger. Menu listed all the trimmings. It came with nothing. I ordered a Buffalo chicken salad with no blue cheese. Blue cheese was everywhere. Like... the restaurant is never busy.. so why can't it get an order right? I canceled my food. My other friend didn't even get her food. We asked. They forgot she had ordered. So we'll wait another 20 to 30 minutes to get her food. Judging from the reactions of those who did get their food, it was sub par. One actually stated, "At least the ranch tastes good." They had to request ranch to add flavor to their burger. Several food items were served cold. The wait staff and the kitchen staff act like they don't know what is going on. You can tell the communication is lacking between crew members. Maybe require drug tests? The only thing we were able to enjoy was the low definition football game featured on the high definition television screen after we finally got someone over to turn off the cooking channel. Mind you, when we called ahead to reserve the table, we asked for a table next to the game. Missed the first quarter of the game trying to get someone's attention. So lovely... we won't try again. Always give a restaurant a second chance to give you good service. After that... screw them. And thats my professional opinion. Update: One bill was compensated. Another was 50% off. This was after we pointed out the folly. Photo given to show how empty it was. Perhaps the good reviews were friends of staff? 2/8/21 - my reviews are always accurate and details with just the facts. Management's response to my honest review was unprofessional. People are allowed to not live something, or have bad experiences. In response to why we stayed to watch the game.. #1 because for an hour of it we were waiting on food. For the rest, we already had started the game. We wanted to see the results. That's a very obvious point and answer. In response to the not waiting to be seated, we made reservations, and we were told that they reserved for us table number 20. The exact table we sat at. Negative responses to comments actually chase away customers more than encourage them to stay. Any professional knows this. In response to my time being inaccurate, the place is also a bar. The clock they have is 10-15 minutes different than the time on my phone. Most bars are set up like this. Additionally, the clock was on the far wall. Management could see customers and the clock clearly?

This review requires an explanation. The first time I came to Sticks, it was so good. Fast drink refills, delicious food and super reasonable prices. The BEST catfish I had in a long time. I have been talking about it for 2 months to my family. So for Father's Day, I asked everyone to meet in Hannibal. CATFISH!! I couldnt wait, perectly breaded light corn meal crust. Cold beer, $2 margaritas... yes please. Our waitress explains the have a 30 top party going on in the back so the kitchen could be a little backed up. Undersold that by a fair amount. We were not in a rush so we placed order, drinks and apps. I order the catfish curls (entree) to be come out for my appetizer. Really confused the poor girl. But we talked our way through it. Drinks arrive, great. We wait, which we were warned about, but then the fish arrives burnt and dry, no sauce. She takes our order, drops the ticket in back, proceeds to get her backpack and walk out the front door. GONE. Finally track down someone, for condiments and such. Refills... bartender comes to help us, says she will check on our food, cold beer makes all sins forgivable. Then, she proceeds to leave. Like, leave leave. Bar unattended. GONE. Mind you, we are not stinky people, we were quite clean and more quiet than normal. Two people up and leave without saying a thing or assigning us to anyone else. We did get someone to find our food. My sister's open roast beef plate came out ice cold. Off to the microwave it went. 2 of the other meals were perfectly fine, steak and a philly cheese sandwich. The saving grace, besides really cold beer, was the freakin tenderloin. It waa probably the best tenderloin I have ever had.... if not, top3 of all time. Size shouldnt matter but in this case.... the only thing more impressive than the dimensions is the flavor. Hats off! It was enough to take a 1☆ experience to a 3☆ review. If your a tenderloin fan, you HAVE to try this sandwich. It is the size if a large pizza. I will be back, regardless of how many of the staff leave in the middle of taking care of us. I will update and re-review after my next visit.

We drove two hours, waited 15 minutes for water, and waited over an hour on our food. Their sign says they are short staffed, but there were 5 waiters/waitresses and never more than 10 tables of people sitting down. There were a few people in the bar area, but they had their own servers and not many people were at the bar. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan- and after waiting an hour I got my meal… the noodles were overcooked and cold, very little sauce (this was the only thing that was good) and my chicken was very, burnt and dry. When the waitress asked how the food was, I told her the chicken was burnt. She offered to take it back and have it remade, but I kept the noodles because at this point I was very hungry and didn’t know how long the wait would be on new chicken. 15 minutes later I got a new chicken breast. It was not burnt, however, it tasted old, expired, chemically, literally every way you could describe RANK chicken. I couldn’t even eat it. The waitress came back and asked us how it was and when we told her it was terrible, she said the chef/cook was arguing with her and that he told her to tell me “you make sure you tell her that the chicken is fresh.” Our waitress apologized, as I know this wasn’t her fault, but we will NEVER be back. We are driving home now and my stomach is hurting and I have the worst taste ever in my mouth. I’m not a complainer, but this was the worst food I’ve ever gotten at a restaurant and I am so very disappointed.

My husband and I arrived at 1:30 pm on Sunday, March 7, 2021. Nobody greeted us and there wasn’t a seat yourself sign. After waiting awhile we started to wander in to find a table, which were all still dirty. A staff then caught up with us and told us to pick a table and they would clean it. They did and we sat down. We were told that this person was the general manager and all of her girls had called in so she was doing everything. Another staff came over with menus and took our drink orders. We both ordered unsweetened iced tea. When we got them there was absolutely no ice and not great. They were not refilled even once the whole time we were there. They didn’t come back to our table or take our order for about 20 minutes, maybe a little longer. When our dill pickle chips came out, fairly quickly, they had no sauce. There was nobody around to ask either since they were supposed to come with a horseradish ranch. Well when my salad came out I found out why. The ranch is homemade and nobody felt like making any today. I got balsamic vinaigrette. I have to say the side salad and that dressing were very good and fresh tasting. It wasn’t too long until they came out with my husband’s burger and fries and my catfish curls and asparagus. The asparagus was excellent, the catfish was good with no “fishy” flavor but half of them were overcooked, nearly burnt. My husband said his burger was good. Absolutely nobody was wearing masks other than me. Overall, not a horrible experience but not a good one either. Even allowing for the lack of staff, it didn’t seem like the staff they did have were very excited to be there or even well trained. I don’t think we’ll be going back here. Staff were at our table a total of 4 times and just did one thing, no asking if we...
