Dunkin' — Restaurant in Hanover Township

On December 8th my husband went into Dunkin Donuts here in CL. We pay with the card and app to get points and coupons. My husband was placing the order and tried to use a coupon, the kid working tried multiple times and told him idk it won't work, with the line growing he said forget it and finished the order so others weren't waiting. Total comes, $28, my husband gave him $40 and our card and said put the change on our DD card. The worker fumbled around for another minute, line still growing and said I don't know what I did but now the total is $68. Again just wanting to move the line my husband said fine here's another $30 just pay for the order and put it on the card, line was very long now. He rings out the register and gives the card back. We discovered later that day they never put the $40 on our card. We called them and were told we will receive a call from store manager within a week after he looked at recordings. One week went by no call so we call again, same story, apologies and store manager will call within the week after he looks at cameras. Week passes, no call it is now the 23rd and we call yet again around 8 am. I'm told manager will call me back that day. At 3:30 I called back again and was told sorry he left for the day. And a promise he will call me back the next day. On 12/24 I received my first call back at 6:45 am, on Christmas eve 🙄 not the store manager though, telling me the store manager is reviewing the footage and will get back with me. On 12/27 after hearing yet again nothing I call back. Worker says he will review today and call you back. Within one hour an employee calls back, still not the store manager, and says sorry he doesn't see your husband on camera call corporate, I ask to speak with him and am told he's not there anymore he will call you back, and now nothing. So I'm out $40, I doubt the manager even ever checked the tapes and he refuses to speak with me himself. Check all your receipts carefully when using this location because either the kid working pocketed my $40 and didn't ring it, or he messed up and the store manager is lying. I work afternoon shift, so when I got off work and got DD it was 3:55am. I walked up to the counter and employee Bre said we open at 4. I said ok I can wait. By the time Bre finished counting her drawer she said if you have the exact amount I can take your order. She started to box it up. Some other lady maybe a manager came over started yelling at Bre and told me she has other things to do besides wait on me. I canceled my order and said I'll go somewhere else said woman said good go somewhere else. So I contacted DD corporate and was told they will look into it. Then the regional manager contacted me and offered free doughnuts. I said no thanks keep them I won't be back. Then today he e mails me offering a 10.00 gift card. I don't want your free doughnuts I don't want your gift card. I want to go into a restaurant and be treated with respect. I you just want a cup of coffee and a doughnut then this place will sell it to you. But for me I will never go back there again. Why has poor service...

Dunkin' is conveniently located at the intersection of Rt 41 and W 133rd AVE in Cedar Lake and the entrance is accessible from either street. It is connected to the BP Gas Station. The drive-thru begins in the rear of the building. I went to try the new Pumpkin flavored items on the menu for Fall 2022 that I saw advertised. They were listed on the Drive-thru menu. I ordered a Pumpkin Spice Signature Latte but it didn't look like any toppings were on mine (see photo). It might help if a different lid could be used such as I have seen clear domed ones used other places. Also ordered regular pumpkin spiced coffee. In addition asked for pumpkin glazed donuts and was told didn't have any. Wasn't told when they might have any. I bought pumpkin Munchkins (donut holes) instead.
