This place was recommended to me by my parents who are from Illinois. I drove 50 minutes today just to try it and see the hype. It was AMAZING, to say the least. Absolutely the best BBQ i’ve ever had. The prices are extremely fair. Actually pretty cheap for bbq! I got the sampler, which included ribs, brisket, burnt ends, pulled pork, 2 pieces of corn bread and homemade pickles. I ordered a few of the sides which are extremely cheap and DELICIOUS!! They range from $2-3 for the smallest size. I got the smoked baked beans, mac n cheese, smoked brussel sprouts, and the brisket chilli. When i tell you it was LIFE CHANGING. Seriously so good. I’ve never had such good baked beans! And the brisket chilli was out of this world! It had LOTS of brisket in it. All the meats were perfectly tender with a great smokey taste. It was all so good, I didn’t even need bbq sauce for any of it, and that says a lot! The homemade banana pudding was unlike any other banana pudding i’ve ever had! You could just TELL it was homemade. The sweet tea was perfect too. The workers and the environment is a solid 10/10 as well! They have picnic benches inside and outside! Such great, friendly vibes! Board games at each picnic bench, several different kinds of bbq sauce to choose from. I wanted to speak to Frank himself to let him know how pleased I was with not only his food, but his entire restaurant, staff, and vibe! Will DEFINITELY be back and I cannot wait! So soooo worth it, if you haven’t tried it, you’re missing out! You could easily go here and ball on a budget as well, the prices are...

The pork belly is on point here! The first time I have ever had it and enjoyed it. They are doing it right!! The chili with waygu beef in it was hearty and had a zing to it. ( I think it was just chili powder) This is what carried the stars in my review. The sweet tea was not true sweet tea. She threw sugar in a cup and stirred right there at the counter (and not even simple sugar) The green beans were squishy because they were way overcooked. The mac-n-cheese was just something to fill you up. The pulled pork was not dry, but it didn't have any flavor to write home about. Jalepeno cornbread, I am pretty positive, came out of a box. Those definitely were dehydrated jalopenos. The staff was very energetic(almost too much), loud and easily confused. When I asked if I could have 2 sweet teas with the special instead of pop she said it would be an up charge. I told her that was fine until she started calculating. Sweet tea is .50 more than pop, so it would be $1 up charge for 2 teas. She wanted to charge me $2 upcharge because lemonades are $2.50. Lemonade has nothing to do with it. Her repeated response when something was inaccurate was, "I don't usually work weekends". Okkaayyyyy, so do their prices change on weekends ? No. So what does that have to do with the price of my tea? I will only return here if I get an immense craving for really savory...

As a seasoned food critic, I must express my absolute adoration for this restaurant crew. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and cordiality by the entire team, but I must especially commend the guy that helped me for his exceptional hospitality. He went above and beyond to ensure that my experience was pleasant and accommodating, even patiently and expertly answering my barrage of detailed questions with ease and without making me feel the least bit demanding. I could go on about the outstanding service, but let's move on to the real star of the show - the food.

If you're seeking a recommendation, look no further than the loaded tater soup and mac and cheese. These dishes are absolute must-tries and represent the pinnacle of the restaurant's culinary expertise. The loaded tater soup is a sublime mixture of creamy, savory, and indulgent, while the mac and cheese is a velvety masterpiece that hits all the right notes.

In summary, my experience was truly delightful, and I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a sensational dining experience. With top-notch service and unforgettable cuisine, it's sure to leave a...

While visiting The Shrine of Christ's Passion, I came across Frank's Backyard BBQ. Upon arriving, it didn't initially look inviting. I am SO glad I decided to give it a go! The hospitality was warm and welcoming. The inside was, well, just as the name states, like a friend's "backyard BBQ"! I had the rib tips and my friend had the pulled pork. We shared sides, the cole slaw. They serve both versions, with cream and vinegar. I like the creamy one but both were tasty. We also shared the loaded taters. Those were delicious. I ordered the spicy corn. That was also delicious, but I believe it needed a splash of fresh lime juice to brighten it up. Regardless, it was really good. They have three types of sauces on the tables and they are all equally good! The tables are picnic tables and there are some games, like checkers, on the tables. Love it! I will definitely have to make a return trip soon and try something else. I definitely recommend trying this hidden jem. Oh, they also have a patio. And the price is very reasonable.
