Been coming here for years and the food is great. The issue, however, lies in the owner’s attitude. I have experienced this first hand when I ordered 2 teriyaki plates over the phone, went to pick them up and after putting my card in was prompted with the tip screen. I also had a 20% coupon that they regularly send out. I give him the coupon, and he says “no tip?” Pretty aggressively. And I confirm with him that I will not be providing him with a tip that day. He then asks me two more times if I will be giving him a tip and then I assure him that today isn’t the day. He even explicitly points out I have a coupon insinuating that a tip is absolutely necessary. After leaving I say thank you and he doesn’t say anything but just gives me a dirty look… for what? The whole interaction was just awkward and really weird… I check my card statement only to find out that he didn’t even apply to discount and the amount charged on the card wasn’t accurate to what was displayed on the screen at the restaurant. First as soon as I said Yakisoba Plate, she said something (I figured out later was, BYE!) and hung up so fast I couldn’t even say, what? Called right back thinking we were disconnected to which she picked up and hung up. I’m outside in my truck watching her mind you. Third call back she takes order and says bye again but waits, then yells Bye! When I went inside she says Yakisoba? I said yes and she takes card runs it hands me back card and bag turns around and says Bye with her back to me. I have been a customer for the past 3 years and never have had a problem until his refusal to show policy and treated unequally.
