I was really disappointed in Jack. I'm self employed but found myself having to work on a Sunday after church. Stopped to pick up a quick snack for the kids before being able to have a more sit down meal. We picked up 2 orders of loaded fries and a drink. It took about 20 minutes from the time I order until the time I got to the window. When I got to the window I noticed they were only giving me one set of fries instead of two. The girl at the register finally got my order right after a few more minutes; however, she kept my debt card. It was a nightmare. I noticed I was missing my card when I needed to pay for something and tried pulling out my card. Luckily I have another checking account. Here is where the show started. I tried calling Jack in the Box and no one would answer. The line would ring and ring and then there was no place to leave voice mail. I tried calling all Jack in the Boxes in Harlingen and no one would answer. I called someone in Weslaco and was successful in speaking to a nice manager. There was nothing management could do. I was hoping they had an internal email or cell phones they could use amongst themselves. After hours (I was working) I managed to speak to someone at a location in the same city and they commented something about the card could be lost or stolen which doesn't make sense being that drive through was the last person to have it. Read moreRidiculous service at the drive through and even more ridiculous service thereafter. Ordered food via drive through and realized my drink was missing. I was initially okay with it until I made it home to find that the MEAT PATTY was MISSING from my burger. How something like that could even imagine is dumbfounding! To top it off, a second burger was drenched in mayo, so disgusting! To add insult to injury, the restaurant itself NEVER answered the phone. Their corporate number online DOES NOT WORK. I had to try FOUR different numbers before getting through to someone that can help. I was supposed to get a call from the regional or district manager, never got that call. Was supposed to receive a FULL refund for the transaction, instead they only refunded $2.63, as if only paying for the missing meat?! I tried calling the same number that initially worked, only for them to always be closed now?! I had to dispute the additional $19.39 through my bank to learn that Jack in the Box will never be held accountable. It's not about the money, it's the principal of it all. You pay for something, you expect to get exactly that. I was willing to forgive the missing drink but everything after that was utterly frustrating. Shame on this specific restaurant and the corporate company themselves.
Side note: receipt was not given making it difficult to dispute online and I was the ONLY vehicle at the drive through so it was not an issue with it being a rush...
Read moreThis jack in the box location ( Harlingen , off the expressway) is our usual stop. We stopped yesterday to order a large curly fries with only cheese and was granted the order. Today we stop to order the same thing and the person taking the order stated it can only be ordered with cheese and bacon. They aren’t able to only add cheese to the curly fries. We asked to speak to the manager and he confirmed. We explained we had just made the exact order the day prior and he said that he didn’t know who took our order yesterday; which is odd if he’s the manager.
