Papas & Papas — Restaurant in Harlingen

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted and treated like we were the only ones in the building. It was our first time so the guy who took our order explained everything thoroughly and was really patient with us. Staff checked on us at least twice to make sure we had everything we needed & overall, it made me realize how I don’t even get this type of attention/service at most other restaurants! The papas were soooo good and were filled with tons of toppings. I am never one to eat the skin of the potato but it literally was so buttery and full of flavor that I didnt mind. 10/10...

I just spent $70 on three potatoes, three lemonades, and three spicy corns. The three potatoes were cold after being put in the oven for a few seconds to be heated up with the toppings on top. The corns were dressed by the workers at which one wasn't even asked what we wanted on them. I did voice my concerns to owner at which he fixed the corns and offered two free potatoes for the next visit due to the inconvenience. Well, I guess I'm not coming back for my free potatoes since the owner decided to go back and sit down. No free meal...

I love coming here! Don't be surprised if there's a long wait time, they get busy around the weekends. But honestly definitely worth your money and they properly load every potato! They also give free chips and I definitely recommend their specialty drinks! Only complaint is that it can be a bit too much, the small space along with the blasting music indoors really doesn't help a headache, do sit outside if you're sensitive to small spaces...
