There isn't a Burger King in New Kensington, so I decided to make a special lunch during our outing today out in Oakmont. I have been seeing all about the Impossible Whopper on TV lately and even dreamed of it last night.
Our checkout Clerk, "Herb" as it said on his nametag, was very helpful. He was friendly and spent a little extra time with the customers besides just taking an order and money. Having never had the burger before, he explained the patty to me as being a soy patty. I have never had soy before, so I was not able to understand the flavor. Anywho, I ordered it and told him I may be back if it wasn't for me.
The burger was pretty much as described, it wasn't bad, but I wouldn't order it again when there are yummy beef options. Vegetarians probably would like the burger just fine though. My own critique is "dry, and lacking love". I just wasn't feeling any love from the Impossible Whopper.
I went back and ordered the original chicken sandwich, because that's always amazing. Herb was friendly, remembered me and engaged in conversation about my experience. All-in-all it was a great trip. I didn't like the new burger much, but it was still a great lunch in. My hubby ate the Whopper for me so it wasn't wasted.

To employees saw my friend n I n walked away sat their over 6 minutes then a manager not wearing uniform was wearing dirty cloths n rude came to window n we asked if they were close n if they had our door dash the guy in the gray hoodie said no n yes we are closed n we asked if they had paper or something with their hours so I could send a picture to the person to send to the door dash person n they guy said yea it's on both of our doors up front. Was very pissed cuz of the way he talked to me n my friend. He was not polite. He gave a dirty look n attitude. I understand that it's not his fault that he got an order before closing but thier was no need for attitude n dirty look from him n the two other employees standing be hind him. Talk to manager about trying to be more understanding of door dash drivers we don't have a choice when people get hungry for ur guys food. Read moreI'm actually really glad my phone asked me to rate Burger King tonight, 10/30/21. The service was terrible! I got to the window and the lady working very aggressively said she'd be right with me. After 3 minutes I said "Hello?" She came on and with an attitude said I'll be right with you. She did come on shortly after, but only to tell me that my wait would be about 20 minutes. I said alright. Unsure if she meant 20 minutes until I could order, or 20 total minutes until we would receive our food, I spoke up after a couple more minutes and made the comment that we were ready to place our order whenever they were. A man replied "We'll be right with you" but I'm guessing the woman didn't have her headset off and she said with a very angry tone "I already told them it would be 20 minutes!" I did get to place my order with the man, and he was very nice when giving us the food.
