Food was as expected, with it being a fast food chain your goal is to make it taste the same across the world, and in that you succeeded. The service was pretty meh, but I have a feeling that was due to policy more so than the employees. I went inside to order, as I wasn't sure what I wanted and I didn't want to be one of those jerks that sat at the drivethru menu for a long time holding everyone up. There was a lady waiting at the counter, I stood behind her and quickly figured out what I wanted. After some time had passed, the lady in front of me got upset and loudly asked if we could get some service. A man who I am assuming was a manager based on him having a different uniform, stopped the conversation that he was having with someone in the lobby to guide the lady over to the giant tabletesk ordering machines that you have so we can service ourselves. Mildly annoyed, I too went to a machine, knowing it might be a pain as what my girlfriend wanted was sort of a special order. Sure enough, I was unable to add big Mac sauce to her double quarter pounder via the machine, so I needed to go to the counter to order anyway.
I get why you have these things. With minimum wage inevitably going up, you will no longer be able to pay your employees starvation wages, and thus will need to cut down on the number of people working in order to stop your CEOs salary from dropping from 6.7 million to 5.8 million (obviously those numbers are made up, but you get my point..... A $900,000 cut is a lot, but they'll still be filthy rich while the employees will struggle to survive)
Long story long.....stop being jerks in practice. As far as the store in general...... The manager could've taken 2 minutes to take our damn order. I don't know what his conversation was about as it was in Spanish, but I'm willing to bet it was personal,...
Read moreHave tried to go through the drive thru here multiple times in the last month and every time there is a long delay before someone even acknowledges there is someone there and then it takes very long time to get through the order and finally get the food delivered. This past time which was tonight, the parking lot and driveway were both empty and I asked the drive thru attendant why it took so long to acknowledge that I was even there and he said they were stocking right then.. at 9pm at night? I told him not to worry about it and that I was going to the new Chickfila across the street in Harrisburg NC that just opened and he acted as if he could care less.. I did go to the new chickfila across the street and they did indeed serve me a quickly, respected my time and me as a person, and acknowledged me as a person when the Harrisburg McDonald’s didn’t care one bit. I can see why the Harrisburg NC McDonald’s didn’t have any customers tonight and I can see why they will be going out of business soon or not making any profit in the near future. It’s because the owners of managers don’t care and it funnels down to the employees that then really don’t care about the customer experience and satisfaction. Some companies do care and that includes chickfila which consistently increases their customer base. That now includes me which has finally had enough with the poor customer service and horrible employee selection made by McDonald’s corporate and franchisee owners over and over again. A young gentleman walked up and I asked him if he could help me get my online order ordered in person while using the code ( the app wasn't working at the time) he said I needed a code and I said how do I find it and he said "I don't know" so I looked then he asked (politely) to look at my online order and he looked and said I don't know how to use it so I said ok give me a few minutes. I walked away for 2 minutes and gave up on the app. I STOOD THERE FOR 10 MINUTES WITHOUT SERVICE!! it just wasn't me that was mad but other people. The gentleman acted like he was high or sleepy. No smile or good attitude at all I mean I did like the have a nice day but there was no emotion behind it. I saw a woman get mad at a person for asking for his meal and it wasn't like he was being rude. What happened to MacDonalds? Where everyone is smiling and being respectful and great service. I don't know who runs MacDonalds but if I was them I would bow my head Everytime I went out because it's gotten bad. Was the food good? Yes, did I get have a nice day? Yes. But no kind attitude behind it.Or good costumer service. I know it was busy but I mean at least tell me I'll be with you when I can. Don't just let me and other people stand there. The guy wasn't a jerk and they did get me the right meal at the end of it but a little more of that MacDonalds spirit would be nice. 😊
