ALDI — Local services in Harrisburg

I was in the store shopping I did not have a cart because I realize I did not have a quarter. I only had to get a couple of items so I went on and got what I needed. The young lady at the first register who was a black woman was mopping the floor and told me to be careful because she was mopping. There was a long line at the other register. There was a customer that came through that knew her and was calling her name in a whisper. She then told the customer to come on she'll bring her up. Then she went ahead and wrong up more people after her while we were standing in this long line with a couple of items. If that was the case she could have waited or told me to give her one moment and she'll ring me up at the next register. To me it was okay since the remodel, nothing to really write home about. The big issue I have is sometimes the quality of their produce. I picked up several bags of sweet potatoes to only put them back down because most of the potatoes in the bag were rotten in places and the same with some other produce that I picked up. Yes you can save money my shopping there but it kind of gets frustrating sometimes when you have to end up going to another store to buy. Also their bread product doesn't last very long. I've noticed many of times their bread has condensation on inside the bag from it being in the cooler, which I get, but then when you bring it out to normal temp the condensation is going to speed up the molding process. To start off with something positive the store itself is wonderful. It's always clean and organized and full of great food, wine and all the weird extra stuff that I love about Aldi. Even the people that shop there are polite. However, the employees leave a lot to be desired. Now I've shopped at plenty of the stores at different locations. I know that they aren't customer service oriented. After working as a grocery store cashier for almost a decade I kinda like that about the company. I don't walk in expecting much. Somehow these guys are the worst. I've had a cashier put up his closed sign as I walked up to the register (holding a couple items) then I saw him take it back down when someone else walked up with an even larger order. And other employee on another occasion ripped a cart out of my hands for no reason. Honestly I always leave this...
