Usually service is not what you complain about at a Chick-fil-A, but just had one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at one. I will say the young lady who took our order was very pleasant; however, this new lane system is ridiculous. First, there quickly became 12 to 15 plus cars in the regular drive-through line while there were only 1-2 cars in the mobile app drive-through line the whole time we were there; which was way too long! Doesn’t seem like there is the amount of orders to really justify blocking one whole lane for those using the mobile app.
But on top of that, the people working the window to deliver food to the cars were completely unorganized and disinterested in being of service to anyone. People that were three and four cars back were getting their food before people that were at the front of the line! One car blocked the drive-through line for quite a long time because they had placed a very large tray order. But yet no one asked them to pull out of the way so that people behind them who already had their food could get out of the line. Finally, once we got to the front of the line ourselves, we sat there for quite a long time while yet again others got their food in cars three or four behind us! But yet I saw a young lady, actually make a couple ice cream cones and three or four people just stood in the doorways, looking around, not paying any attention to all the orders that were stacking up. I finally had to yell out the window to get someone’s attention and said we’re just waiting on our cones. Sure enough they had been sitting there melting all this time, but we felt bad for all the people behind us so we took them. They were also brought to us without any napkins which we had to ask for. Anybody knows eating a cone in a car requires napkins and they should be provided without having to ask, which holds up the line even further.
I actually have video of these reps just standing around and talking and chatting while all this food piled up in no apparent order. Just not what I expect from service at...
Read moreI usually come here every Saturday. Today's experience had me infuriated. I pull up to the drive- thru. Two gentlemen are in the left lane. One walks to the cars behind me to help them. The other walks towards my car and says "I'm sorry my IPad is frozen." He looks over to the right lane and asks if the other guy could take my order. He shakes his head NO and just stares at me. I'm wondering to myself, What? Really? I'm still just sitting there. I'm about to pull away since I've been sitting for 5 minutes with no help. The second gentlemen in the lane I was in made it back and proceeded to help me. I asked him why did that other guy refuse to take my order?? He explained that they cannot switch lanes. Makes total sense. Safety is important, but why would you not verbalize that to your customer instead of saying NO and leaving it at that? His demeanor standing at the drive- thru screamed I Hate My Job. The worst experience I've had here. Usually everyone is helpful and atleast smiling. Wasn't the case today. I will...
Read moreTypically, one can count on Chik Fil A for superb service. Well, after waiting in the drive thru, I get home and ready to eat my salad, only to discover that they gave me a spicy chicken salad instead of the grilled market salad (that I ordered). Since I can’t eat majority of what comes on the spicy chicken salad, I have to drive back to the restaurant. I’m hungry, it’s late and cold out so I’m frustrated. Although they give me the correct salad, I guess I was unreasonable for asking to be somehow compensated for my inconvenience and gas wasted. Well, they best they could offer was a coupon for a sandwich or nuggets. No worries, I won’t be back to this location, especially since there seems to be a Chik Fil A within a 5 mile radius no matter where you are…. I’m also wondering what their intentions were with the salad that I returned to them after having left the restaurant an hour earlier because it certainly wasn’t...
