Base Coat Nails & Spa — Local services in Harrisburg

First time going to Base Coat Nails and I will most definitely not return. I have never made a comment under any business before but this experience was so bad I don’t want anyone else to have to go through this. I came in to get a pedicure and remove my nails. The lady working on my pedicure took an hour and half on just buffing my nails and clipping. I feel like I would have been there at this moment if I didn’t ask for her to just start my actual nail polish. Not only that but my nails were soaking in acetone the entire time of her working on the pedicure… that was for over an hour which isn’t okay because she wasn’t working on drilling it in intervals. On top of that the lady working on removing my acrylic nails was drilling the nails off… SHE ENDED UP DRILLING MY ACTUAL NAILS TO THE POINT OF SUCH A THIN LEVEL THAT BOTH MY THUMBS HAD CRACKED. She repeated to me to let me know when it starts hurting while she’s drilling… there shouldn’t be a time that my nails should be hurting while removing a basic acrylic set. Please work on your services because I shouldn’t have paid 75 for a basic pedicure and the staff to leave my nails thinner than I came in. I have relatively strong nails so I shouldn’t be seeing such an indent on my NATURAL nails. Once again I will not be returning ever again. This is my favorite nail salon as of today! My regular nail salon was not open, so I made an appointment at Base Coat Nails and Spa. My nails are super sensitive, and I often experience a hot, burning feeling when my nails are being done if they use the drill. I told Nana (not sure how she spells her name), that I am really sensitive when the drill is being used. She was so kind and gentle. It was the best nail experience I have ever had, and I have had my nails done a lot over the years. I will totally go back to this nail salon, and this particularly this lady, Nana! I needed a pedicure but my normal nail salon is now closed on Sunday. So I stopped into this place for the first time. Small but cute spot. They were too busy to get me at the time and said that they could get me in, 2 hours later. So I left and came back. 2 hours later, they remembered me and I was able to come right in and get seated. OMG I enjoyed this visit!! It has been a long time since someone has pampered me and given my feet such attention. I think my technician's name was Nina, and she did a wonderful job.
