I enjoyed the Wild Mushroom Risotto, the Fried Shrimp Po' Boy, and the Roasted Beet Salad with baby spinach, toasted pistachios, crumbled goat cheese, and lemon vinaigrette! Did I mention the risotto? I even brought an extra order home to share with my mother, who saved some for my sister. Dad loved the risotto too!

As for my service, I entered around 7:15 PM (my receipt shows my server's name is William D.) and left at 7:59 PM. The dining room was empty, with just a few guests at the bar. The bartender glanced over and asked if he could help me. I asked, “Is the kitchen still open?” He replied, “Yes, sorta.” I said, “Okay, table for one,” but then decided to sit at the bar to make it easier for the team since I didn’t see any waitstaff.

The vibe I got from William was one of skepticism, as if he didn’t trust me to be a customer. To break the ice, I shared my experience from a vegan restaurant I had just visited, where the staff was rude. I mentioned that I left without ordering because I was hungry, tired, and I wanted to avoid a negative experience. After hearing my story, William’s energy changed, and he even apologized for my experience.

However, he still seemed unsure about me, as if he doubted my ability to afford my meal. To ease the vibe I asked where the crab meat was from. He said Maryland, but I knew it was out of season. He checked with the kitchen and then clarified that it was coming from overseas. After that exchange, he seemed more chill as he thanked me for asking the question as he was now more knowable.

I noticed William talking to his manager, and I felt like he might have been sharing my experience with her. When she brought my food over, she smiled, though it seemed a bit like she was wondering who I was. I appreciated her bringing it over and William's effort to correct the initial vibe.

In short, everyone deserves a warm and welcoming greeting… I felt like I had to earn mines. Shoutout to the manager. While I was finishing dinner I noticed the bartender walked from behind the bar to greet a party of two (waiting for 4 others) at the door while my greeting was from across the bar while proceeding to shine barware.

But did I mention the Food was Fantastic!!!! Great...

Stopped in during a long road trip and was pleasantly surprised. Atmosphere was quiet and relaxing on a Thursday night but there is def the potential for an amazing bar experience on weekends.

I have seen other reviews complaining about cocktails but it’s a bourbon bar and they have a great bourbon selection and many cocktails based on them. Friend with me got a “Bramble” I believe it was called and it was delicious. I had a local beer that was just ok but they have a decent tap selection as well.

The food was good too, we aren’t talking about professional chef or anything like that but it was the right amount of filling and tasty. The true allure is the uniqueness of the menu. They had options I’ve rarely seen before and I highly recommend meatloaf bacon sandwich and brisket sandwich. The brisket was a to go order and was beyond amazing reheated at home so it’s probably even better freshly made.

Staff was helpful, they didn’t hover but were aware of us and our needs. Parking was easy during the week but weekends might be tough, there is a parking garage nearby however.

Overall, highly recommend this spot if you are nearby or traveling. I will def be making a...

Came here on a Wednesday night for happy hour ($5 apps and 1/2 price whiskey or bourbons, along with some beer specials)and to get dinner with a far-away friend who was in town for the night. Service was attentive and whiskey sours were delicious. For apps we ordered the pretzel sticks, jerk wings, and carnitas. Pretzel sticks were fresh, warm and soft. Came with white cheese sauce and What looked like stone ground mustard (I didn't try the mustard since the cheese was so good!). The jerk wings were just okay, as they tasted like they had been re cooked. Carnitas tacos were tasty and stuffed perfectly with pork, cilantro and onions- very fresh tasting. I ordered the short rib stroganoff which was amazing. My friend ordered the burger and commented that it was the best burger he's had in awhile. Great place! Will...

Had dinner for the first time with my family here tonight and it was great! While they started off with soda, I asked if they could make a good bloody mary, and was told yes! The bartender, Will, made an amazing bloody mary, I am a bit of a bloody mary snob! I asked for spicy and it had the perfect spice/seasoning ratio! On top of that the charcuterie, brisket entree, tuna, and the scallops and risotto we ordered were all phenomenal and photoworthy! Our server, Nicole, was so attentive and kind! Giving us suggestions and making jokes with us! All around an amazing experience! From the drink Will made me, to the service, kindness, knowledge and just overall great experience Nicole treated us to, and on top of all that the amazing taste and photogenic food (I did not get the chefs name 😫 please give him credit too!) 10/10 will be back!

Last night, we visited the restaurant after being impressed by the reviews and menu online. Opting for seats at the bar, we were greeted by friendly and helpful staff. The food served was of just "good", and it came out quickly. My boyfriend ordered a Lemon Martini, the drink glass he received was quite small. Despite pointing out the discrepancy, the bartender made it seem that it was "their" Martini glass. However, during the course of our meal, we noticed an actual Martini glass in the glass front refrigerator right in front of us. We are unlikely to return to the restaurant, which is a disappointment. **Response to Owner** If I order a Martini, I expect it in a Martini Glass. That's part of the fun of having a Martini... it is the experience. :/
