Capital of Pennsylvania is Harrisburg. Did you know William Penn narrowly avoided excacution in Europe? It's worth the visit! One of the top the most beautiful, elaborate expensive and waste of tax payers money in the United States. Discusting oppulence. I thought i was in a Roman or French Cathedral. Floor to ceiling with marble and gold!! Extravagant priceless stainglass windows. A female artist was commissioned to complete mural paintings. 1902 Violet Oakley. She had an incredible history and knowledge of law! During her commission, she painted breath taking murals for 25 years! The Supreme Courtroom has a huge stain glass dome. I wonder how a lawmaker working there can not feel apart, like a King or Marie Antoinette?? With Walls of cold Italian and French marble. Gold guided sconces on every inch of the walls in the House. Distracting from the purposes of trusted lawmakers. The Senate and Supreme Court rooms are full of art, guilded birds, and light fixtures worth millions. The tour guide was more focused on group count than on enriching with historical stories. With Pennsylvania & Harrisburgs many starving children and families, underpaid citizens in poverty-stricken cities and towns, This Capital building crown sits atop a crumbling city with colapsing water pipes and pollution poisoning the Susquehanna River. Read moreWe travelled from the Philadelphia suburbs to Harrisburg to demonstrate for Womyn's Reproductive Freedom on the steps of the PA Capitol Building. The men and womyn in attendance were enthusiastic, passionate, but respectful. Multiple professionals spoke about the dangers of interfering with a womyn's access to safe and legal means to control her own body.
It is not only immoral but sickening that reactionary men and allegedly "religious" womyn claim the right to limit others' personal choices! Our forefathers/foremothers fled from tyranny to found our country on the precept of a citizen's responsible freedom.

There have always been and will always be people and organizations that twist, corrupt, and use this liberty to punish others whom they somehow consider a threat to their lifestyle, their possessions, their beliefs; i.e., their various "gods". Such is the price of Freedom. But the price of Tyranny is much, much higher.
Live your best life. And let...
Read moreThe building is so beautiful and the details in the art work is amazing! The stain glass windows are so beautiful, the bright and clear colors are just so awesome. I went with my son class on a field trip . I so wish we had more time to just take our time to see more of the whole building and intake the beautiful artwork. It's amazing how old the artwork is and doesn't even appear that old. The man who spoke to us about some of the artwork and rooms was so kind and very knowledgeable on everything! I am definitely looking forward to planning a trip on our own to take the time to really explore and enjoy the sights! They have clocks threw out the building that run by turning them it's amazing that someone has to go around and turn them ever so often! The chandeliers are so beautiful they are amazing! They say some of them to be cleaned have a man gets inside of it to clean it and change the bulbs. That's how big they are! Some of the kids were amazed at all the gold and saying about it being real or not. Our guide said if you can't touch it, it's gold. If you can touch it, it's probably not. Lol, either way its breath taking! The floor in the main hall is just a big mosaic it's...
