The Voo — Restaurant in Harrisburg

Was very disappointed with my one and only experience at "the voo" located in the downtown region of Harrisburg Oregon Had multiple people tell me how nice the place is and how their food is quality and affordable. To that I say "nay nay" The actual bar interior is typical sports themed with a "wood look" not anything special especailly with the amount of real estate inside this place. The food itself was my biggest issue. Last night I ordered a double cheese burger and fry the cashiner/bartender said it would be 15$ even so reluctantly I had agreed mainly due to the want to try to food and wanting to eat a good burger When I received the burger togo , I immediately realized it wasnt what I expected for 15$ by any means. Fries were over salted and while they were obviously made with real potatoes The amount of oil and salt still on it was gross. The burger was literally what looked to be 2 prepressed frozen store bought meat patties that literally was worth maybe 4.50$ The buns were greasy and the cheese had been squished between the 2 patties normally I enjoy 2 pieces of cheese and I expected local or at least "grassfed" ground beef not sure what's up with this place but 15$ I would much rather had hpne to McDonald and bought a double quarter pounder with cheese. I would like to also ad the patio wasnt open and the atmosphere inside seemd to be more tense than relaxed and laid back, made me not want...

Went in late afternoon. I had the French dip sandwich which was hard to choke down. The meat was all dried out. Spouse had a Hamburger with cold fries. He said hamburger was just OK. Waitress was terrible and rude. As far as atmosphere I really liked the vibe. I liked that it was open and roomie. There was lottery machines for those that like to gamble. Could tell a lot of locals go there. I know quite a few of them. Had the good not been so bad and the service, I would’ve rated it higher. I doubt I will get food there again, but would like to hang out again. And for the record, I have eaten at quite a few different bars and haven’t had the food be as bad as this. Perhaps we came on an afternoon they had a bad cook or the cook was having a bad day? I know several friends who eat the food there And have never complained. That’s why I gave it a 3 star. A star off for the food and a star off...

"Portions were small. Food was about as watered down as the drinks, bartender got my wife’s order wrong. Even when they brought what she’d originally ordered, it was basic as hell and small portioned. My order they got right but also small portions. Mixed drinks so watered down you can’t help but to feel like you’re the one they’re making a profit off of. If you like being over charged and under served, you will love this place.and I l penciled in a 7 $ tip that I lose sleep over. I stole the glass my wife’s “drink” came in cuase I felt I paid for it.
