DOUBLE CHECK YOUR BILL & BANK STATEMENTS! Crooks! I was charged twice. Yep, a double charge & I am not the only one to complain about this. Once I checked my bank balance & realized I was charged twice I called & the bartender said they had trouble with their computers & the storm (What storm?!?) She apologized & said it’s happened before. She said to come in the next morning at 11 when the owners will be there. She took my name & phone # down. I walked in about 11:10 & there were only 4 people in there that early. A bartender, a woman sitting at the far end of the bar & 2 gentlemen at the front of the bar. I said I called yesterday & this older woman interrupts me & YELLS “we can’t hear you!” So I moved closer & spoke louder to the bartender since she was the one to greet me. The older woman proceeds to say “what are you talking to her for? I’m the one you need to be talking to.” She lifts up the note with my name on it & says I can’t give you a refund because you didn’t tell us the amount. I said “they didn’t ask for the amount” & she said “well, I don’t keep that kind of money here, I have to go to the bank & I didn’t know how much it was because you didn’t say.” Now, I am irritated because she is being ridiculously rude. I said my phone # is on the note, you could have called me & asked the total. She said “I don’t keep that kind of cash here (it was only $49) so you have to come back because I have to go to the bank.” All the while talking to me like I’m trash. They made the mistake, I had to be inconvenienced & go there for a refund & she wanted me to come back later after she went to the bank? Nope! I said it’s only $50 & she yells “do you want to see what’s in my register?” She pushed my limit & I let her know I was not happy with how she was treating me. I got my refund, but they are crooks. They purposely “over charge” or “double charge” & then get upset when you catch them! Check your bill & bank statement! Extremely poor management & awful customer service. The owner or mother of the owner is rude, disrespectful & unprofessional. I will never spend money in there again. This place is trash! It’s dirty & all of the chairs & tables are wobbly. The food is super greasy (tasted like the oil they use is never replaced). I got waffle fries and they were pathetic. I don’t know why they felt it was ok to serve them. I have been a customer at Three Monkey’s since 2009. I have always went there and spent lots of money. Me and my family go there every Saturday after my grandsons football game. I have noticed a change in customer service the past few times. The waitresses don’t smile, they never greet us and the owner was really disrespectful today. He accused me and my family of not paying enough tip money and he told my son that I was an embarrassment to them. Me and my family always leave a tip. There is usually 9-10 of us meaning, they receive a generous amount of money from us all. I was so appalled today when we went to eat there. The waitresses were so rude and so was the owner. They based their customer service on how much money we are able to give them on top of the amount that we already spend as a group. If they felt that we weren’t leaving enough tip based on their expectations, than they could’ve approached us professionally but they didn’t. Instead we were treated like dirt after all of the money we have spent there over so many years. We have referred so many people there as well. I am here to say that I will NEVER spend anymore money there nor will I refer anyone there. What these people need to understand is that we leave the amount of tip that we can. We as families have other bills to pay as well. We do what we can to help business stay afloat and recommend there services to others. However, I will never recommend Three Monkey’s to anyone else. I wouldn’t treat anyone the way me and my family were humiliated today while spending our hard earned money at this place. Please think twice before spending your money here. I wish I would have read more reviews! I thought it was just my experience or I wasn't "reading the room" correctly BUT NO, like another reviewer stated I should have walked right out, they were not friendly AT ALL.towards me. As I was sitting waiting on my order, other customers started coming in, all of them were greeted and there was much more interaction with them from the staff. I was the only person of color there at this time (11am). So, my order was taken by an older short lady, I didn't get her name. I was asked if I needed to see a menu, but I already knew what I wanted. I ordered the 6 wings well done, Carolina gold and the original steak sandwich I wanted everything that it came with but I asked if they could add lettuce and tomatoes, the waiter proceeded to pull the menu out for me to read what it came with, I told her I understand what it comes with but can you just add lettuce and tomato "yeah, got it" she replies, what sides! I explained I didn't want any sides, and she cut me off and stated well I can't change the price. I should have left at that moment but needless to say they didn't add the lettuce and tomatoes to my sandwich nor did they cook my wings well done the steak sandwich was so tough and chewy I gave it to my dog.
