It was cool at first, but then Scott charged me for 2 drinks accidentally, so I asked for a drink to compensate not having ordered a 2nd drink for the error, but somehow things got mixed up and I really didn't feel like arguing with him, so I just paid for the extra drink I didn't order. Not to mention, I stopped one day just to get food without ordering anything to drink and for some reason the owner just kept looking at me, trying to make it seem like he was just cracking his back everytime he turned in his chair looking to look at me.... (It made me feel uncomfortable) If you ever come here just make sure you are being charged correctly by looking at your receipt when you make a purchase each time, because Scott will probably make a mistake and charge you for a drink or drinks you didn't order. Update: So I returned to Zembie's feeling good that everything was resolved and we had put what happened in the past, but I guess now Scott I believe seen what I wrote on Google reviews, because the first thing he said was he didn't want to go through what we went through previously what I had wrote up top on my post and that this time he would be charging me for the Red Bull and the shot of Jagermeister that goes in the Jager Bomb, so I said that was fine, but the whole time I felt he was giving me a negative vibe not to mention I also ordered food with a side of French Fries and when he gave me the French Fries there was barely any that he gave me. Note: I write this to let you know exactly how this establishment operates and from my experience it was cool at first, but in the end you get on their bad side and they start treating you terrible. I believe if you are representing an establishment whichever it may be you should always be professional to the best of your ability and not take anything personal of what possibly was a mistake that you made, because it all went down hill when he charged me accidentally for 2 drinks that I didn't purchase and remember it was not my fault to begin with in the first place for the mistake he made on his part. And then he changes up and starts acting differently, charging me extra for a Red Bull, and not even giving me a nice amount of fries like he did when I first started coming here. In the end I feel disrespected and don't want to ever come here again And I tried to give this place another opportunity, but if they have people like Scott working representing this establishment and are not professional like they should be, I don't even want to come here and spend my hard earned money and feel awful when I leave not having been treated the way I feel a person should be treated when doing business, because at the end of the day I'm a customer and I feel as a customer I should be treated with respect, Not the way Scott feels he wants to treat a customer after he made a mistake on his part to begin with which started this whole...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I came here the other night for wings. I noticed only the manager was working, he never once greeted us. I would hope it wasn’t because we were two black females, but one can only think that as I watched him talk to other people at the bar that weren’t African American. (This place has been known to have prior racial issues) We noticed that he wasn’t going to come to us so she went to the bar to order our food. I ordered all flats, she ordered hot wings. He came to our table to give us our small plates and and silverware, during this process he still never spoke to us, never said his name, never said hello, never said how are you today, no words were exchanged. The only time he even spoke to us was when my friend dropped the pepper shaker and he acknowledged that he would pick it up. Our food came out and it was all flats as I requested but they gave her 9 drums and one flat. Which she was upset about and returned her food. My wings were good. I went to pay, and i didn’t even want to leave a tip but since she had two drinks I did leave two dollars. I once worked in the service industry and kindness goes a long way, I always tip well, but he didn’t even deserve the $2 dollars I gave him. I never been to an establishment and the manger/server doesn’t say two words to you. Not even a greeting. The worse part of it all is that night I threw the wings up. They tasted good, i don’t know if the chicken was old or what. I didn’t drink, so I know it was the wings. I will NEVER go to this bar again, and spend one dollar in it, and if your black good luck on...
Read moreI had an extremely disappointing experience at this establishment. From the moment we arrived, the environment felt unwelcoming. The waiter, who is also the manager, did not greet us, nor did he make any effort to ensure a positive dining experience.
When our order arrived, the person I was dining with ordered all-flats and the cook decided to give me all their drums. Despite this mistake, there was no apology or attempt to rectify the situation. This level of service was unacceptable and unprofessional.
Additionally, I have been made aware of past incidents involving this restaurant that further reflect a pattern of discriminatory behavior toward Black patrons. Though I won’t detail those incidents here, I cannot ignore the implications they carry about the establishment’s attitude toward people of color.
This experience was deeply upsetting, and I will not be returning. I strongly urge others to think twice before dining here, as it’s clear that providing respectful and inclusive service is not a priority for...
