My first experience with the Amish Restaurant was way back in January 2015 when I was in the area at breakfast time and decided to stop in and finally take a chance on getting a breakfast there as I had wanted to for years. As I walked in I was seated promptly by a very cheerful young lady who did not even attempt to seat me at a single table as is the practice with many restaurants when you are eating alone. She said that someone would be out to see me shortly so I perused the menu trying to decide what of all the options I would like to try and then after a short time I was real pleased to see someone I know come out to take my order. Debbie greeted me with a heartfelt how are you doing and asked if I would like anything to drink and of course I said coffee. After we chatted a bit about things going on in life with the family and all I asked about a couple things on the menu and decided on the meat lovers Omelet and then asked what bread I would like for my toast I was given an option that I'm not sure it is always available or if this was my lucky day and that was some cinnamon raisin bread so of course I said that was good. When the food came out and I saw how good it looked I could hardly get through giving thanks to God for the meal before commencing with the consumption of the meal. By the time Debbie came back to refill my coffee I was able to let her know it was one of the best omelets I had eaten especially in South Jersey as the eggs tasted fresh and the meat was very good as well as the toast. It was such a good meal I was hoping to be back sooner but my next trip did not occur until February 2016 and although the meal was still real good the personal attention wasn't quite the same, still good just not as. I did however have my daughter with me this time so that helped o make the...

I ordered the tuna melt which was nothing more than a can of not properly shredded tuna dumped into mayo. My friend had some kind of sandwich that she was displeased with. Her daughter had a steak sandwich that looked like a cooked old shoe sole. She said it was tasteless so she barely ate a fifth of the sub. The fries were all overly greasy and overcooked. We felt there was a peculiar after taste. I found it to be a burned oily taste. The waitress was the most unpleasant person I encountered that day in the entire mart! She was poorly trained, inattentive and possessed poor customer service skills.
Relative to the vendors, there is a great selection to choose from. This being my second time there, every vendor I've bought from has met or exceeded my expectations.
Great place to shop for wholesome foods but bring a big purse because...
Β Β Β Read moreA small but quaint restaurant that serves delicious home cooked food which can be either made to order or they offer a small buffet with plenty of choices to satisfy. I went for the breakfast and had the buffet. A few egg dishes, a basic omelette, every type of breakfast meat, pancakes, fresh fruit, potatoes and even a few sweets like shoefly pie, blueberry compote, and seriously THE BEST cinnamin cheese roll log I've ever had. $10.99 all you can eat and the coffee was even good. Waited about 10 minutes for a table at 9:45 am on a Saturday was not bad at all and the Amish servers...
