First time visiting this restaurant n it really disappointed. The place looks clean, colorful n bright w all the colors n decor of Peru. Its wall at the entrance makes a great accent for pictures. Nice small bar n I didn't try any drinks just the chicha morada (corn purple drink) n it was too sweet. Now, ets get into the food. I was w a group of 8 people. We decided to order the pollo ala brasa (rotisserie chicken) with arroz chaifa n salad. Also the parrilla plate that came w 3 different meats, a ceviche n calamari as an appetizer. Out of all that I ordered, the ceviche was the only dish that was decent to eat/tasty. The rest of the food just bad from the cooking to its tasty n presentation. The appetizer was salty n its green sauce was good. The meats were hard n greasy. The rice was not arroz con chaufa. I think it was fried rice with a scramble egg. The salad...alot of lettuce, 2 cucumber slices n 2 tomates. The service was rude when we placed our order asking us if we were concerned about the price of the parrillada dish. They r there to explain each dish n recommend what the most popular dish is n not ask you about the price. That dish was bad n too expensive. Also, the tip s already included on the check so do check your check n dont add extra tip when paying at the register. I don't think its fair to add the tip/gratuity when you didn't get good service while dinning at the restaurant. Overall, a bad experience as I didn't eat any of the meats. If you want real peruavian food, this is not the place. This place needs improvement from their staff n food. If you are going to pay, pay for good service, good food that tastes authentic to...
Read moreMy first experience with this place was being greeted with a "cash only" sign. As soon as you walk in, there is a long skinny dreary hallway that has an ATM and the bathrooms. Once you pass that hallway, you walk into a small dining room with the cashier to your immediate right. I was not greeted by the hostess that was standing right there at the cash register. I continued to sit myself down at one of the tables. After a few minutes the hostess invited me to walk up to the cash register area to view the daily specials on the board. After deciding to just take something off the menu I grabbed 2 menus and ordered drinks for me and my other party member. After sitting down, we were brought 1 of the drinks. After a few minutes I had to again remind the hostess to bring the second drink. After bringing us the second drink, she then took our order. The food did arrive in a nice timely manner and it looked delicious. My only complaint about the food was that I had ordered the rotisserie chicken and when I bit into it, the chicken was a little more pink then I was comfortable with. Other then that everything else was good. Once I was done with my food and received my bill, I noticed that the gratuity was automatically charged to the bill. All in all if you're looking for a quick meal and aren't expecting anything fancy, it's not too bad of a spot to stop in and get...
Read moreWe were a party of three. Two of my guests ordered something off the you main menu, and since I wasn't feeling too good I ordered a chicken soup. It's Monday, and I was told that chicken soup weekends and the chicken stock was not available. So I substituted for a beef broth with noodles. We all ordered our food at the same time but it took like an additional 15 minutes to get my soup. What the soup arrived it tasted good but too salty. I asked for some hot water pollute the soup because if I would have sent it back it would have taken me another sound of waiting... The cashier chose to want to swap my soup out. So I gave it to her. After 5 minutes of waiting I just cancelled my soup order. My two guest loved their food was not at all impressed. Truth be told, when I went into the bathroom upon entering the establishment, I wanted to wash my hands but there was no in the dispenser for the men's room and none in the females restroom. I have to catch you if there's any soap to wash my hands and she said no and I asked her how do the employees wash their hands.... She Looked at me like I was stupid. All this was done in Spanish because I am fluent with the language. Go...
