When I walked in, I placed my order at the register, the way you would order at a fast food restaurant. There were NO PRICES listed on the menu board or elsewhere. The cashier did not speak fluent English. He wasn't able to answer a couple of simple questions about options but he did point to the menu to try to help me find an answer. He took a call while I was placing my order. So, I waited until he was finished to continue placing my order. The restaurant does not provide paper receipts but they will email one to you if you pay by card and specifically request it.
After paying, the cashier gave me my beverage and a table tent/order number. Nothing was said about how the process went. So, I watched customers who had ordered before me. When an order was ready, an automated voice said, "Please take the order." When your number was displayed, you were to approach the take-out counter and carry everything to your table. Since there were no trays, I had to make three trips across the restaurant. I'm still not sure what the purpose of the table tent was, as they're typically used so that the staff can deliver orders to the correct customers.
I noticed customers going to a metal table after retrieving their orders from the counter. So, I looked it over once the line died down. It contained a beautiful assortment of salsas and other condiments. There were no cups to put the salsa and such in. A customer at the counter told me that you have to ask for them at the pick-up counter, which was close by. So, I asked for one. The employee told me that I actually had to go back to the cashier to get one. I had to wait in line again just to ask.
The presentation was fantastic. Everything looked fresh and inviting. The tomatoes appeared to be quality, vine-ripened tomatoes. They tasted delicious. My platter contained three cheese enchiladas, refried beans and Mexican-style rice. The portions were quite generous. The menu said that sour cream was part of the platter but it wasn't given to me as part of my meal. My enchiladas were cold. The cheese inside was cold and appeared to have not even been melted at all.
My companion, who ordered a few chicken gorditas, could not stop raving about how good her meal was. Seriously, she said it at least six or seven times. Everything was...
Read moreI used to go there all the time when the father of the restaurant who is the original owner was working there when it was still a store and it was excellent service now over the past four years. The two daughters are in control of the register and taking you otters the older daughter, whose picture is on, the restaurant is Very rude and the younger daughter with the braces argued with me because I had asked for sour cream told me that it was $.50 extra, which was no big deal but I told her we had gotten four orders of food so why do I need to pay extra? She started screaming at me in the middle of the restaurant Saying that I’m bringing negative energy because I had to ask for extra sour cream we had also ordered a tamale which will include a large chicken bone in it and my sister had said I can’t eat this. Can you make me another one or can I get a refund and she got even more aggressive , and that is sign that says tamales contain bones. A sign contains bones written small underneath the sign which is very hard to notice. I will not recommend this place. These two young girls feel entitled and privileged and are very racist. If were still running the place I would highly recommend , father and mother need to teach their daughters how to be professional, especially with dealing with customers and also isn’t the same because mother and father is not working there. Very rude...
Read moreOver all terrible:
Customer service 0 out of 10 Food was blah, great flavors but chips stale and tortillas stale, salsa is thin and runny like water, the worst salsa I have ever had period. The food is way over priced for what you get. 3 oz of quaso chip dip was almost $6 which is crazy. You have to get your own food from kitchen area and you have to get your own salsa, again customer service was by far the worst customer service period. If you have never been there like us the ordering process was confusing. Now not everything was terrible, the guacamole was really good 9/10. The rice was good 7/10 but everything else especially chips , salsa and tortillas was 1/10 and the customer service was 0/10 being the worst I have ever had, I had to do everything myself, sad, give me one reason why I would tip, it’s sad that their machine even asks for a tip before the service, you have to pay before you even eat or receive any food. If I had not already paid I would have walked out before even getting my food. Do not waste your time eating here. You are better off to go to Taco Bell lol seriously. Below is the photo of the watered down salsa. I guess times are hard and they need to make the salsa stretch to the end...
