This morning I stopped at your establishment to obtain breakfast for myself and several co-workers (including my boss). Upon arrival at the office, I had a meeting and was unable to open the bag. When I did, I noticed that a sandwich was missing. I called and explained that this was in fact not the only time this has happened. On Saturday, November 9, 2013, a sandwich was also omitted from my order. At that time my family and I were in the parking lot and my daughter simply went back inside for the sandwich. On a previous occasion within the last month, I picked up breakfast for several of my children and myself on the way to the babysitter’s house. Once there we realized that one of the sandwiches was left out and I had to give up my sandwich to one of my kids (not what they ordered or wanted but I had little choice at that time). I stopped by on my way to work and collected another sandwich but by that time it was no longer breakfast and I could not get what I had ordered and wanted. I cannot even recall all the many other times it occurred that I simply shook my head and went on with my day. So, my name was written down this morning for a “free meal”. While I was not satisfied with that result, I agreed. Then after I hung up the phone, I opened my hot chocolate to what appeared to be simply hot milk. I did not take a drink of it. My boss immediately told me to go back to McDonalds and demand my money back because it was simply unacceptable. Therefore, I left work and drove back to the restaurant. I was told the hot chocolate was white hot chocolate (which I absolutely did not order because I can’t stand white chocolate…no options were given for various types of chocolate when I ordered). I was offered the hot chocolate of my choice and the sandwich that I never received. However, at this point, I was so sickened and upset by my experience (and the thought of the previous experiences) that I simply did not want it at that time. I asked for my money back and was refunded for the sandwich and hot chocolate. The entire process of returning to the restaurant cost me time to leave work, receive my refund, and return to work. Although I work close by, my time and my gas are valuable to me. My time is also valuable to my employer. That was not compensated by my refund. Since I feel unsatisfied with the results of my “refund” today and from my previous experiences, I will no longer purchase anything from your restaurant and will be certain to share my experiences with others. I realize that I am but one person, but I do have a large family of 9 children at home. None of us will be purchasing there again. I had stopped at least twice a week for breakfast there and will discontinue that. I understand that it may get busy there and I was very patient the first few times it happened. Today was the last straw. I do not have time in my life for poor service. It is not enough to simply say “Sorry. I hope your day gets better.” Perhaps better training or more empathy for the time people lose when they have to deal with this type of inconvenience and poor customer service will help you prevent further issues like this from occurring. I doubt it as it has become my experience that McDonalds may simply not know how to train properly or may simply hire people who do not place customer service as their top priority. I choose to now make all my purchases at an establishment that has only 1 time in over 5 years forgotten anything from my meal: Chick-Fil-A. Maybe they can train your team members for you on how to provide excellent...
Read moreThis Mcdonalds on Port Republic Rd in Harrisonburg Va deserves negative stars. I stopped by to get a coffee and was left waiting in the drive thru for 25 nearly 30 minutes. I couldnt believe it. I walked inside and asked to speak to the manager and was told the manager was in the office on the phone. The employees gave me a coffee and said just take it. you don't have to pay for it. I said thank you and the employee didn't even say your welcome. I later called the store to speak to the manager and they said hold on. A person got on the phone and claimed they were the manager. This so-called manager said quote You were left waiting THAT long?? Oh man... I'm sorry.... uh.... what do you want me to do? I told him to ensure that kind of thing doesn't happen again. He replied oh ok. Thats all. I asked his name and he hung up the phone. He sounded like a teenager. I highly doubt he was the manager. Awful...
Read moreVery kind staff! They were slam busy in the drive-thru so I went inside to place my order. They were out of fresh air press so they asked me if I minded waiting 8 minutes for them to cook fresh ones, which I really appreciated! The only thing I wasn't happy about is that one employee put my child's child chocolate milk and cold apple slices IN the box with the happy meal which has hot fries and chicken nuggets in it. When I noticed there at the counter and took them out, the apple slices were literally hot, and the milk had cooled the fries down considerably. The employee was very young so likely didn't know any better and perhaps could use some better training. Apple slices should go in a separate bag, because they're cold. And drinks usually don't go in a bag or box at all. That's the only reason I gave 4 stars...
