Not impressed at all. Walked in, I was the only guy in the place. No hello, how are you? nothing…. The girl making sandwiches asks me, what do you need buddy? I gave her my order and she must have called me “buddy” 10x while making my sandwich. Guy at the register was watching soccer on his phone. No interaction at all. I later realized he rang up my sandwich at $8.99 when the board said it was $6.99. In the end my sandwich was good but the service was terrible. Maybe it’s just how people in Hartford act? I'm so disappointed. I have been here before and while they are not the cheapest, the ingredients are usually pretty fresh and they have fast service in the breakfast and lunch hustles. Today I just wanted a simple ham and cheese hard roll. Good thing I watched. He put ham and turkey. I said no turkey. He takes off the turkey. He adds pepperoni. I said no pepperoni. New York Market & Deli is a staple of downtown Hartford. Located in an historic building across from the Federal court you see all walks of life coming in for a bite, a smoothie, a cold drink or a hot coffee.
