Sampizza Bar — Restaurant in Hartford

UPDATE! 7/14 Add insult to injury I placed an order and waited as the app explained they are packing the food and the driver had picked it up I had got the slice points to get a free large pizza which Sampizza is enrolled in. They made the a medium sized pizza the app says large plus i ordered some fried dough with the order. I get a message over an hour later saying they cancelled my order through the app because of miscommunication I live 2 streets away from them so I'm unsure if it was because they didn't want to give me the free pizza or if this is how they run business now. l placed an order on 7/12/24 and they forgot part of the food that went with the entree. I asked for tator tots with the burger didn't get them either. I wouldn't send anyone to this place just because of how they run their business They could have called if there was a problem not do it by the app!!!! Never again! Normally dining in is usually better than delivery.... Most places!! Well as you see below I left an outstanding review they deserved a while back when they first started out and would deliver themselves anyhow I've stopped in recently and the place was clean and updated from when I originally stopped in. So I asked for a veggie wrap with coleslaw but no coleslaw (it happens) when I got my wrap there was no Avocado on it which was disappointing they didn't have any but it was on the menu as part of the wrap instead of being asked if I wanted to add something else I was served without the Avocado the reason I wanted it to begin the other person who accompanied me asked for a Well done cheeseburger which the cheese was burnt and the meat was red on the inside. Didn't have the things to drink on the menu but they were advertised just like the items they advertised as far as the food they didn't have. New server started on this day he was very kind and was doing great for his first day! This was the worst experience ever I ordered a cheese pizza in Tucson pizza and 2 sodas from my guys at work at work at 12:02 PM I was told 15 to 20 minutes. I call at 1225 to confirm total and I am told my pizza was dropped on the floor that it won't be ready till and 1 comes and I'm told another 15 kins. Well after being on the phone for about 5 mins asking whats going on and being told well the truth is out 9vern takes 2 to 3 hrs to pre heat and we open at noon. OK well maybe you should of told us that when we ordered and not 20 to 30 mins pick up. Needless to say I express im frustrated and should not have to pay for my pizza she states that is not going to happen and by the way we just thre away your pizza because you said you did not want to wait. Never never was that said so now its 145 and I am just receiving a pizza I ordered at 1202. Completely unprofessional staff they have when I asked for the owner and manager names they told me they are not on today o asked again and was given the same response with no name to who they are. My bussiness as well as all my customers will never step foot in there again and I will make sure they 2671 followers I have in ct know as well to spend 1 dollar in this establishment. Come on people we have to do better as a community let alone a business when I stayed i would display this issue and leave reviews her response was so. Why do people have to be so cold and rude to one another. If you hate your job and have to deal with the public do us all a favor and quit. Update to the review: The owner reached out to me after the review and asked me to come through and have a pizza on the house. I did not pick up on the offer, but did give the place another chance a few times. The actual place is nice, the porção of picanha is AMAZING! I think it’s my favorite dish, the price is great, generous portion and tasty. The pizza is alright, the cheese is too rubbery and pale for my liking, and the dough also too chewy. Id recommend if you’re looking for a well kept Brazilian establishment in the area, with good appetizers, but not necessarily for the pizza.

I really wanted to like this place, considering we haven’t had a good place with Brazilian pizza in a minute. I ordered a large half frango com catupiry, half calabresa, over the phone. They told me it’d be an hour for pick up. I am quite a bit of a drive from Hartford. When I arrived after an hour, I was simply told there was no pizza, and that I could order again, but they no longer had the flavors I wanted. Very upset, they didn’t apologize nor offer any type of coupon or remediation for the matter. Extremely disappointed for the lack of customer service and accountability....
