I've rated them a 4 star for now. Only because the waitress was really, really nice and professional. When was very attentive and knowledgable. The food was amazing!!! Yet, I will have to say... that we have to go back another time and see what their service is like when they aren't being inspected. I only say this because they let us know that the inspectors were there and asked if we were in a rush. This led me to feel as though they may have just been on their best behavior. I'm from Boston found myself in Hartford on business as a Latino wanted Spanish food for lunch first I walked in to a Puerto Rican restaurant down the street from Donde Julio and walked right out! super ghetto,not welcoming, honestly looked unsanitary. When I walked to Donde Julio it looked very clean the Owner received me wonderfully I sat order appetizers and THAN THE OWNER LEFT THE ENTIRE EXPERIENCE WENT TO HE'LL! Decided to visit this place after see their reviews and frankly I don’t know how they have these good reviews or was not my day, service was good but everything change when I ordered a chicharrón (pork belly) and 2 empanadas to go, I sit down and what I saw was the owner taking a pork belly from the display that probably was sitting there for hours or even days and fried again , when I open the container in the car I see a brown burn oily pork belly with the smell of old oil, the empanadas were ok just the add even potatoes skins but still acceptable, can you imagine what the would do there inside the kitchen , I only remember the face of the guy given me the bag with the smile In his face of satisfaction selling away his...
