Reason for low rating is I pulled into stall #4, pressed the order button, placed my order then proceeded to select debit as my payment method. The screen asked me to insert my debit card which I did and for about 10 minutes I sat there trying and trying over and over again to get the screen to show me that my payment was taken. It was exhausting to continue to reach over and try and try again but still no receipt. When my food arrived, I told the server what happened and she said "oh, the debit card functions aren't working in several of the stalls, this one and..." As she continued to rattle off the other stalls that weren't currently taking debit cards I interrupted and asked what I'm supposed to do and she said "well, you'll just have to pay cash". Luckily, I had a few bills on me and was able to pay but it's rare I actually have cash on me. I sort of growled at her as I dug deep into my purse that it would be helpful to the customer if you actually had the foresight to freakin' put signs on the stalls only taking cash giving the customer the option to move to another stall if necessary. OR you could have the order taker come on over the speaker in the stall and let the customer know before they place an order for goodness sakes. Very poor customer service in my opinion from the...

Pressed the red button to let them know we were there since the stall didn’t have a number to use the check-in feature in the app. They told us our order would be out soon. 30 minutes later nothing had been brought to our car so we reminded them “we are here”. Order came out 5 minutes later, but without our drinks, and cold. Looked for the receipt on our food bag, but was told they can’t print them…. The waitress went back to get our drinks, and we noticed the ice cream melted on the sour patch kids float so it had been sitting for a while…
This is the second time we’ve visited this Sonic, and they always have problems. 1st time they overcharged us for our hot dogs when they had a special running, and now this. Looks like we will be driving a little further to Darlington, SC if we want to visit Sonic again.
note: could someone in the management at Sonic get their stall screens fixed at the restaurant? They seem to have constant issues with these. They also had issues 2 months ago when we visited. We really would like to review our order to make sure we have everything...

After ringing back in 3 times the manager finally comes out . ( he comes out arms swing back an forth in an out an being rude an disgruntle ) I explain the situation an an how we watched the line fill up 3 times an get empty but yet to receive my food. He tells me he will give me a refund an it will be on my card in a few days. I told him the kids meal was for my daughter who is at home hungry an he said okay he will process the refund in a hurry . We wait for about 5 mins longer an we finally pull in the drive thru . We get up to the window an the manager yells “ I said I will give you a refund what more do you want ... “ I told him I wanted the kids meal at least bc my child is at home waiting an hungry.
