Taco Bell — Restaurant in Hartsville

I placed a DoorDash order. Never received a driver. I got out the bed after working a 13 hour shift and drove to TacoBell myself. They told me they never got the order, the app clearly said Taco Bell was preparing the order. When I arrived, it was already thirty minutes passed from time of the order, therefore the food should have been ready. It was close to closing time, but they were still open. The order was paid in full also. The girl let me know that they did make the food and threw it away, AFTER I was already told they never had a DoorDash order for me. Sounds like they ate it or kept for themselves to me. She said I need to contact DoorDash for my money back. DoorDash will only credit the tip and delivery fee (showed her that) and the receipt where I paid and that it showed where they accepted the order and had prepared making the order as well. Never heard back from DoorDash support either. All the workers were rude at this location and did not offer to resolve the issue. Told me I would not get the food I ordered or my money back from them, being it was almost closing time. I asked for the manager, the girl said the manager was right around the corner. I never got to speak with the manager, she would not come to the window. Left my name with the girl and said please make sure I get my money back. This is not a way to conduct business. I am a Director of Sales and Marketing myself for a hotel, bar, and a restaurant and would NEVER let my employees conduct business this way. Especially in management! I am HIGHLY disappointed and concerned in how this Taco Bell is even still in business! Also, if DoorDash isn’t handling on their end properly, maybe don’t partner with the service any longer. JUST WOW! Completely unacceptable. On both parties. I never write a bad review. This is actually the FIRST one I’ve ever wrote in my entire life. That’s just how BAD this experience was!! Cookout was the WIN for the night and had a GREAT experience there. Food was great and fresh also from Cookout. So, now I know where my business will go during later hours for fast...

They have friendly staff and quick service BUT, be sure that you don't order anything with chips from this particular taco bell restaurant. I have ordered different menu items with chips from here probably 4-5 times over about a 2 year period and every time the chips taste like they are wayy over cooked and aren't even edible to me. They don't look black like they're burnt but they certainly taste like they've been sitting in a hot oven for weeks. It's likely just they leave it under a heat lamp for too long or something.

I eat at taco bell a couple times a week at different locations at different city's and towns since I travel a lot and my favorite thing is the nacho bell Grande but when I order it from this Hartsville taco bell I have to throw it away after the first bite.

I've contacted people in the restaurant and even sent a email to corporate about it but they haven't fixed the issue or even acted like they cared to. I have just started to eat somewhere else while I'm in Hartsville now even though it's just the chips and not the other menu items.

If you do plan on visiting this restaurant then I recommend that you just stay away from...

Can't believe how overwhelmingly nice these employees were. I customized every item in my order and they didn't mind preparing it exactly as I wanted, and even more than that, I was actually $2 short, so I was going to edit my order to a lesser value, but this male employee insisted on paying the $2 for me, then even more heartwarming, the female cashier said to the male employee that she would cash app him the money back... After I had already asked him for his cash app name to reimburse him tomorrow, he wouldn't hear of it. These two employees definitely need a raise!! This day and age it's extremely rare to see someone doing their job with a smile, much less being Taco Bell Total Best Beyond...
