When I first heard we would be getting a Biscuitville in Hartsville, I was excited. I remember when they opened the restaurant in Laurinburg. They had cars backed up all the way into the roadway, despite being close to the McDonald's up there. My enthusiasm for this location is tepid at best.
I would love to say that it was a great experience, but it was not. I doubt this review will change anything.
One thing that is really frustrating is that when you go in to enjoy a hot meal is that you have to endure the frozen tundra of the dining room. While the dining room is clean, they keep it as cold as a morgue in the dining room. Yeah, I get the fact that the kitchen area is hot, but having to wear a coat when you go to the dining room is a pain in the tail, even on a hot day.
As for the food, it is not bad, but on occasion you get a sandwich, typically if you choose the English muffin type, that is as stiff as cardboard. If you order cheese grits, instead of cooking the grits with cheese, they just sprinkle a few shards of cheese on the regular grits.
For the cost, it is just as efficient to buy the same ingredients and make the breakfast at home. At least it is warm at home.
I believe Biscuitville could do better at this location if they tried, but I do not get any sense that this will happen. I guess you could say that this place left me cold to the idea...
Read moreStarted out at the drive-thru where there is a person standing to take your order well in front of the signage explaining what foods they sell. Once we place our order we paid, drove around and was instructed to pull off and wait....with the 5 other waiting cars. After about 8 minutes the drive thru associate quickly handed a bag to the driver and on quick inspection turned out not to be our order. So I went to the window and explained. The associate took the food that had already been in my car, with my hands on it ( to check the order), and took it to another waiting vehicle and finally gave me my order. Then on the way home we realized the dog biscuit ( that you pay for) wasn't included, so we had to turn around and go get that. I understand that drive thrus get busy but verifying the vehicle and food order is a very simple check to make sure other customers haven't handled your food before you get it. The food was decent but the two honey buns were seemingly without any icing and tasted very bland. Plus this is supposed to be a higher level dining experience than your typical fast food place but that was not...
Read moreI had a terrible experience with my recent order. I placed an order for a graduation party to be picked up on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. To ensure everything was correct, I even called that morning and was told that my order was in their system and would be ready on time.
However, when my pickup person arrived at 8:50 a.m., they were informed that the order had been prepared incorrectly. This caused an unnecessary delay, and the corrected order wasn’t ready until 9:08 a.m.—putting us behind schedule for an important event.
To make matters worse, the person picking up the order had to request a discount for the inconvenience, and only a small 10% was offered. Given the stress, delay, and lack of proactive customer service, this was incredibly disappointing.
This experience fell far below expectations, especially for an event as significant as a graduation celebration.
To add to this, the owner commented weeks ago saying to contact them that they were going to make it right. I reached out immediately to the email provided and nobody has reached back out to...
