This was our 2nd visit in three months. The food was unimpressive the first time, but much better this time. The bread that comes with the hummus is very good, and the pancakes are very good also. Both times we visited, we were charged for something extra that we didn't order. Today it was extra vegetables for the hummus, which I did not order (and did not receive). We were already in the parking lot when we realized, so we didn't go back over $3, but it's kind of the principle of the matter that we've been there twice recently and were charged for items that we didn't order. That would be an odd coincidence. It's more likely that it happens a lot. The service isn't the best either. Today we arrived right at the 10:30 opening time for brunch and sat outside. Someone told us a server would be right with us. About 15 minutes later, a waiter showed up to take our drink order and proceeded to apologize for the wait and then had to tell us why. We went ahead and placed our food order, which was slow to get, which surprised us since we got there at opening time, there weren't a lot of people yet, and the menu is very limited, which should result in faster times. The guy did bring my dogs a bowl for water and came back later and filled it up, but the bowl was dirty, which made me think that they don't get washed after use, which is not very sanitary. The three stars are kind of a gift, only because the food was good this time. The other issues are enough to say that this will be our last...
Read moreAn amazing brewery off the beaten track in Hartsville, SC, that punches far above its class. Perhaps the cleanest, crispest brews in the southeast, maybe the entire east coast. Maybe even the Midwest and west coast?!?I’m serious. Straightforward, honest brews including Lakeshore Light lager (5%ABV), Morning Song Japanese Rice lager (4.6%ABV), Namesake Hazy IPA (6.9%ABV), and seasonal Oktoberfest (5.8%ABV) that literally make you look at the (bespoke) glassware and wonder “is this beer really this insanely good?!” Oh, and don’t get me started on the food…handcrafted pizza from a genuine, Italian, wood fired oven, miso and chile pepper encrusted chicken wings as only a true southern restaurant can pull off, salads with local farm greens….amazing. Staff is courteous and caring. Atmosphere is casual and welcoming with a wide concrete bar, open kitchen, as well as indoor tables and ample outdoor seating. This is what “small town south” is all about. Did I mention that the 16 oz. pours average $6.50? What more can you ask for in 2023? Wild Heart Brewery is 100% worth the trip. I was going to give it 4 stars but then I couldn’t think of another local craft brewery (Burial in Asheville, Trillium in Boston) or mega brewery (New Belgium, Sierra Nevada) that was a better overall experience. 5 stars,...
Read moreTerrible experience. Manager with nose ring, bob haircut lady snoking/vaping openly in kitchen while food being prepared. Did not wash hands after playing with most ring and running hand thru her hair. Then used her dirty hands to garnish food. When I spoke up she texted the entire staff and made a joke of my friend and I. Never been so embarrassed for speaking up when someone is in a food establishment acting carelessly and disgustingly. I have asked for upper management to call never heard back. Makes me wonder if the beer is brewed in unsanitary conditions. Request the pizza remade and manager again text the team and made a joke of my friend and I. Never have I ever been so mistreated. She should be fired. Do not recommend this establishment obviously investors and upper management could careless. The waiter was top notch, left an awesome tip and thanked him for being professional. He apologized several times for his manager but we could tell he was put in an uncomfortable position l. We even tipped the pizza maker for his hard work and for doing the right thing and remade our pizza while the manager made a joke of the matter. In the end she still hadn't washed her hands and continued to vape in the kitchen. I've contacted the board of health....
