My husband I moved here in May 2015. Everyone said that the Kloosterman's were famous for chicken and that they'd opened up this place called Sport's Tap. Being the food connoisseurs that my husband and I are, we decided to ride our bikes downtown to check out all the local venues. First off the bat-- I will say that I don't know who told me that the Kloosterman's owned this place and that their chicken was great-- but I'll tell you right now that I don't like their chicken. That's not to say that you wont. The first time we went there my husband ordered chicken and I ordered the Olive Burger. He was jealous when we got served. My olive burger was great (albeit I did have to pick off quite a bit of the green olives because they were too salty). That being said-- the second time we went there, I ordered the same burger. My husband, on the other hand, strayed from the chicken and ordered the nacho appetizer and another one of your burgers. Third and fourth of our visits have been strictly the bar-- one of your bartenders (I truly regret not remembering his name) has been wonderful. He wears a vest typically (like an old fashioned bartender), and is extremely helpful and wonderful to talk to. Cheers! OH! One last thought-- could you PLEASE put a better picture of your menu on Facebook? And the other various websites that Google searches you? Like UrbanSpoon? I'm having a hard time showing my...
Read moreWas there at around 2pm on a Monday. Total of about 14 people in the restaurant. I ordered a Cobb salad, food was very slow coming out, salad greens were 95% iceberg lettuce and in huge (had to cut it up) pieces, grilled chicken breast was not seasoned (no carmelization from the grill either) , decent quality blue cheese, in my opinion not a $11.99 salad by a long shot. Wife ordered a club sandwich, it was average good, fries were good as well, once again the price point seemed high for the experience. Our waitress was attentive with out being all over us, drink refills with out being asked, checked on us a few times. Over all, it's a bit high priced, food quality should come up to match the price point, or the price needs to come down. Service was good. Would probably go back just for beers and an appetizer, but not...
Read moreWaiter was great price was good. I come here often and this was the only time that I have had a issue waiter was super nice and felt bad about the food coming out super late and then still left without one of the sides that came with the meal! While waiting I could see what looked to be the head cook with a bandana and crocks on, he engages with his friends or his family, giving one of them a shot of liquor from the bar. And all I kept thinking was if my food was late then why was he not in there with the younger cooks and helping to get caught back up! But I guess I could be wrong. Cheers I still like it here but you it is...
