The place it self was BEAUTIFUL. However.. my friend and I along with our 2 children decided to eat there driving through Hastings to get home STARVING & even while hungry and would literally eat a horse THEIR FOOD WAS DISGUSTING! Their margaritas tasted like straight up margarita mix with ice… and nothing else.. the queso was probably THE ONLY GOOD THING ON THE TABLE.. even the chips were stale. I myself ordered the dinner special 2 enchiladas and 1 taco ( enchiladas beef, tacos chicken) THE TACO MEAT LEGIT LOOKED LIKE IT CAME FROM TACO BELLS DRIVE THRU, the chicken was dry & unseasoned yet was somehow drenched in some random sauce…yet it was still dry..HOW? We then ordered 2 kids meals ( one burger, one quesadilla) the burger WAS UNCOOKED.. the quesadilla had BARELY TO NONE cheese… We also ordered the steak, shrimp and chicken fajitas.. they decided to come out and bring a plate with 3 shrimp… 1 cut up chicken breast, and 2 strips of steak…. && then proceeded to tell us they measure their meat 3oz each -baby I work in the restaurant industry you’re getting 6-8 shrimp and that’s considered to be standard 3oz- Upon starting our complaints, the manager ( who looked like a security guard rather than a restaurant manager) decided to rudely tell my friend when she complained about portioning “you don’t want to pay for it I’ll just take it” when that wasn’t the problem & before even getting a proper answer he just snatched it off the table. To add to the insults once we noticed the burger and quesadilla mess & my taco..etc the man tells me that “nobody else has ever complained”. He was very disrespectful & had no type of customer service skills AT ALL… then to tip the icing on the cake the waiter had the nerve to be laughing like a kid couldn’t get sick off of consuming raw meat What a night !! Never again.. and...
Read moreWhilst I've been going to this place for, well as long as I can remember, today was extremely disappointing. Good food, drinks were good but between the waitress and the management trying to steal from me, it's the first and only time I will deal with that. When I received my check I just gave her my card and, as normal, I just told her to cash me out. When you order 2 mediums but see it says Jumbo for 20.99 vs 9.59 for a medium because the waitress hit the wrong button in a smaller glass already filled with ice and say you are responsible for her mistake... that's just ridiculous. Since when does the customer pay for a staff made mistake? Unless it was a know and agreed upon mistake. She came over and said "hey I accidentally hit the jumbo button on her drink, I'd that ok, it's just more." My understanding is a smaller glass, already filled with ice and it poured out into both the mat as well as the bar top because it can't fit a fish bowl in a 2" high glass is this: logic says I didn't get more because my glass doesn't hold more, and I didn't make the mistake. Her wasting a beverage into a mat and all over the bar where I was sitting should not be my problem. She refused to fix it, and the manager, after I stated facts, then offered to "discount the jumbo price instead of just charging me for 2 medium as that's what I ordered and got. To argue with a customer over a mistake already admitted by the waitress is just foolish. To make it worse, they lowered portions and raised prices then try to rob you. Watch your bill and make sure you double check your bank statement. Keep your copy and write what you tipped and what the total came to after tip just to be extra cautious. They have redone the place, but are they trying to make up for it on the customers dime or are...
Read moreWe just moved from California and we wanted to find a place like what we have back home. We tried a few other places, but this place is just awesome. 5 stars, for sure. We were greeted right away by a couple of hosts that knew what they were doing. They knew what tables were open and got us set up with a two-table setup for 6 people. We got chips almost before I could sit down, very nice touch. Even though they were busy, we were greeted by our waiter within 2 minutes. He recognized that we had never been that before and explained what type of margaritas they had. He recommended the "Golden Margartia." That is what I'll order forever. He took our order and made sure we understood what we were ordering. Our food only took about 10 minutes! We planned on waiting for a while because of how busy it was. Our waiter, Bryan, made sure we had refills before our food was even brought out. The food was hot, it looked well presented, and it was very flavorful. At the end, we wanted to split our bill but we forgot to say something in the beginning. Bryan said it wasn't a problem and he remembered what each person ordered: food, drinks, extra drinks, cheese dip, etc. He was amazing at remembering every single item that every person ordered. On our way out the door, we were told to "have a good night" and thanked for our visit by the same amazing hosts.
From the moment we came in to the minute we left, we felt welcome, valued, and appreciated. We will...
