If you want decent but not great Tex-Mex food and poor service this is the place for you! Seriously though, I've been here twice and both times the place is packed. It's a rather small establishment so it doesn't take much. During my first visit I had the Loaded Chicken Quesadilla which was so bland I don't think the even used salt to season it and I'm not sure what the "loaded" was to represent in the description, except for my crushed expectations after the meal was served. I could have made better quesadillas at home using a recipe from YouTube. Then at the recommendation of a family member I went back and had the Chipotle Tingas Burro which was surprisingly delicious. The problem was the staff... We sat at our table for at least 20 minutes before anyone came by to greet us and take our drink order. After our orders were serveded, 45 minutes later, we had to ask several servers several times for simple things like water and napkins. The food is hit or miss and the service is a Big Miss. Probably won't be back for that...
Read moreI arrived and sat at the bar on Wednesday night around 5:30. Great decor, Kudos. I received my first drink within 5 minutes. Not very impressive considering there were only 2 people at the bar, including me. Great house margarita, when you can get one. Apparently the age old tradition of placing your empty glass on the edge of the bar means nothing here. I've had 2 bartenders ignore that gesture here. Plan on waiting 5-15 minutes on a refill. I had the Churrasco Tacos, chicken. The chicken was overcooked, hard and tasteless. The onions and peppers were mushy and tasteless. The black beans were mushy and tasteless. I sensed a pattern. The happy hour free chips and salsa were good, not good enough to warrant the non-happy hour price of $5.99. (Apparently happy hour ends at 5:30 because that's the last time they brought new chips.) All in all, very disappointing. One bright spot, if you are lucky enough to get Jessica as a barmaid, you will not be disappointed. Great service, great attitude and great...
Read moreFirst time ever here and it was an ok experience. We were camping nearby and woke up to rain so we decided to head into town to find breakfast on a Sunday morning. Me &Julio looked promising, an interesting Tex-Mex mix of food that served breakfast on the weekends. We were starving and I wanted to try the taquitos so we had those for an appetizer. They were the best part, the Jalapeùo cream cheese sauce was a good touch. But there were three little ones, an awkward number to share. We had the corned beef hash and the eggs Benedict. Both were just meh. I was excited to try the cheesy hash browns but sadly they were bland. The hash was on the greasy side. Since it was raining and they have live music (inexplicably) on Sundays (12-3), this was moved inside, so it became rather loud during our stay. It was very busy but we only waited about five minutes, and our server was quick and efficient. I might give it another shot next time we are in town, and go for something...
