Waffle House — Restaurant in Hattiesburg

I wish I didn't have to rate this! First the steak was well done, hashbrowns tasted burnt and the waffle was hard and dark. The hashbrowns were done over. The waffle was hard and dark so we just told her to take it off as it was already bad service at this point! The young lady stated she was new and would take money off for the hashbrowns and the waffle. When we headed to the register to pay the young lady at the register stated it would be $30 but according to our receipt it was only $22. We proceeded to explain the situation to the cashier. She said hold on and went and spoke with the server. She came back and said she couldn't do the $22 because the young lady was new. We explained that wasn't our problem! Then the cook decided to argue with us. The cook told the cashier to call the police. We patiently waited for them. While waiting a worker boyfriend that was visiting decided he wanted to jump in the conversation. Police arrived and didn't even listen completely to us that we didn't eat the waffle. We were told we had to pay the $30. I was adamant that I was not paying for something I didn't eat! Another officer arrived. We explained the situation to him. He stated we had to pay the $30 due to them cooking the food and us eating hashbrowns and waffles. I told him I will NOT pay for the waffle since we didn't eat it but we would pay for the hashbrowns since they recooked them and we did eat them. The officer told the cashier to charge us $26 and be done. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS WAFFLE HOUSE THE SERVICE AND FOOD SUCKS! and to have the police called on you for your worker taking money off the bill to make things right. Train your staff on proper cooking of medium well steak, smothered hashbrowns and light waffle! Steak was taken home to give to my dog since it wasn't cooked the right way!...

Horrible. I got the Allstar and an extra order of biscuits and gravy. First off to start they where out of orange juice... just goes downhill from there... My grits where lumpy and hard. My Bacon was burnt. Eggs weren't done all the way. Toast was good.... and the biscuits and gravy I paid for on the side was freezing Cold and lumpy like it had been sitting there all day long. Only positive was the waffle and the toast... Boyfriend got bacon egg and cheese hashbrown. Bacon and Hashbrown where cooked to fast. Some of the hasbrows where raw. Bacon was odd textured. Never once offered to refill coffee.... had to ask for a spoon to eat the grits. She did ask how we liked the food but at that point so much was wrong. After driving all day I just didn't wanna deal with it and I didn't wanna wait for it to be fixed. She touched money then my silverware she tried to hand to me... Would not recommend. 22 bucks waisted and not even half the meal eaten. Stay very far away. I've never been to a bad waffle house but I guess there is a first for everything. Side note Campbell loop off 49 has a cracker...

Disappointed is what I am at this point. The worst decision I could have made this morning was to order from this Waffle House. I order cheese steak omelet, supposed to have been Texas toast and grits. The first disappointment was I received regular toast instead of the Texas toast and to top it off the regular toast was hard and dry. The waiter who was on duty the morning of 09/20/2019, around appropriately 09:50 am was the ruddiest person I have ever met. I think that the option of including a gratuity in the total for to-go orders should be deleted because every person doesn't deserve a tip. I have called the store several times to complain of this matter but all the sudden the phone line is down.
