McDonald's — Restaurant in Havelock

It’s my fault. I pulled through the on-base McDonald’s but didn’t realize my app was still on the off-base one… that’s okay. It’s on my way home and just 5 or so minutes drive + the line on base is LONG. … Yeah i was wrong. … Tried the new golden crispy. App gives new sauce, pickles, bacon, chicken. Simple. I get my food and eat the fries on the drive. Getting home, i pull out the sandwich and check it. There’s nothing on it???? Not quite. 1st. It’s made upside down .-. Not sure why bc I’ve eaten here before and they don’t just make sandwiches upside down. 2nd. No bacon. Maybe the app lies. Idk. If i wanted a regular Crispy, i’d have ordered that instead of including the price of bacon for the lack of bacon. 3rd. This lead me to believe the sandwich had nothing initially. Along with upside down, there was the most minor blip of sauce with 2 pickles directly on top of each other. Such a disappointment.

Will say, lady at the window was nice (nothing exceptional but nothing wrong) and the food was fresh including the fries.

But man was that a big let down.

I hope this is the correct McDonald's. I'm trying to get the one that's brand-new that was just built heading towards Jacksonville on highway 24 outside of Swansboro. My husband and I got some sausage McMuffins with egg. I have never been so grossed out in my life. I bit in and there's this big black something spot in the middle of my sandwich. At first I thought it was mold. But it was hard. At least harder than what was around it. They did refund our money for the sandwiches. Later they called me to assure me they found the source and nobody else would be affected. I don't know, I"sorry that happened to you" maybe should have been said. I don't care what happens to other people as much as I do myself. I didn't eat anything the rest of the day because I was so grossed out. See photos above. I'm posting the pictures. Visited the drive thru of this location on December 24, 2024 at about 4:15pm. Ordered a double quarter pounder with cheese meal and another large fry. Get home with the food and my son bites into his quarter pounder and yuck, both patties were red and bloody!!!! So I drove back down to the location and take it inside to show the manager. I asked for the manager and show her the burger and ask her “would you eat this?” And she says “no”. I said you’re going to get someone sick!! She says I will get you another one. I said oh no, I don’t want another one, I want a refund. She goes over to the cash register and opens it and hands me 8 dollars. No I apologizes, no I’m sorry, no have a great day, not a single word! Until I go to walk out the door and she says in a very sarcastic voice “ Merry Christmas”! Wow! I will never visit this location again. I don’t know the name of this manager but the GM can figure it out based on date and time and needs to take action. No one wants e-coli...
