This veteran owned and operated cafe is exactly what Haverhill needed!
First, let's start with the coffee. It's superb. They roast all their own coffee at Battle Grounds Roasting Company in Bedford, NH. If you like strong, dark coffee like I do, I highly recommend their Dark Ops brew.
Their food menu specializes in comfort food such as tuna melts, pulled pork sandwiches, and large salads. They also serve hearty breakfast sandwiches, bagels, and muffins. You can also have a beer or glass of wine in the evenings. (Or do what I do and drink coffee all day then switch over later.)
Every person I've met on the staff has been friendly and knowledgeable. They knew and remembered my name and coffee order by the second time I went in. You really can't beat that kind of customer service!
The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming with large community tables. There are also quite a few two-tops and a large couch in the back, so there's comfortable accommodations to suit anyone's needs. There have been many times I've spent hours writing at one of their tables and I've never felt like I was an inconvenience or unwelcome.
The owners seem highly motivated to be a part of the community around them. So far, they've scheduled monthly poetry nights, weekly game nights, and are hosting a local writing group for NaNoWriMo. We need more businesses who engage with their local community. I will be happy to support them...
Read moreI recently visited Battle Grounds Coffee Company, and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed! The coffee shop has a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made me feel right at home.
The coffee at Battle Grounds is simply outstanding. I could tell that they take great care in roasting their coffee beans, and it really shows in the quality of their drinks. I particularly enjoyed the maple bacon latte, which was a unique and delicious flavor combination.
In addition to their coffee, Battle Grounds also offers a variety of food options. I tried the breakfast sandwich, and it was excellent. The ingredients were fresh, and the sandwich was made to order.
One thing that I really appreciated about Battle Grounds is their commitment to supporting veterans and their families. It's always great to see businesses that give back to the community, and Battle Grounds does so in a meaningful way.
The staff at Battle Grounds was friendly and helpful, and they made me feel right at home. They were happy to answer any questions I had and make recommendations based on my preferences.
Overall, I would highly recommend Battle Grounds Coffee Company to anyone looking for a great cup of coffee and a tasty bite to eat. The quality of their coffee and food, along with their commitment to supporting veterans, make it a must-visit spot for coffee lovers in the Haverhill and...
Read moreI loved this place before but my last experience was so terrible I won't go back. I waited over 10 minutes for a latte. Everyone behind me who ordered got their drinks meanwhile I am waiting with a fussy child. The barista said she had though she made mine. The girl taking orders was telling people theyre not doing any more lattes because the machine is broken. I got back in line and asked for a refund since theyre saying its broken. The barista said she was going to still try and make it instead of giving me a refund. The barista then proceeded to take more orders instead of making the drink she tolf me she was going to make. I again asked for a refund and she said she was making it right now. The latte was not good at all. Burnt and bitter. So i spent around 15 min waiting for a latte that was terrible with a fussy child which should've been less then 5 minutes. Their lack of motivation and dismissive attitude when I am just trying to get a refund and...
