Gorgeous dresses but horrible experience with alterations and communication. Paul Francis was the 9th store I went to when searching for my wedding dress. I showed up to my appointment feeling like I would never find a dress that I loved and was absolutely blown away by their selection. Their dresses are stunning and they do a great job making your appointment feel special. I found, however, that once I ordered my dress my experience went downhill. I ordered my dress in the first week of July 2022 for an April 2023 wedding and was quoted a 4 month delivery time. While waiting for my dress to ship, I never received any proactive communication updating me when my dress would ship. Once we reached the 4 month mark (November), I called for an update and was told December. In December, I called again and was told mid-January. In mid-January I was given another timeline and my dress did not end up arriving until March (one month before my wedding). Along the way their team reassured me that everything would be fine and I would only need one alterations appointment. When I finally went to pick my dress up after my alterations appointment, the dress did not fit and they hadnt even done the bustle. The straps were falling off my shoulders and there was a visible gap between the dress and my chest. I was told that there was nothing they could do due to the structure of the dress and that I had to choose whether the straps were so tight that they were digging into my skin and creating visible marks or were big and falling off. After saying multiple times that I didnât feel comfortable with it, they cooperated with me to try and figure something else out. I scheduled an appointment to come back a week later to pick up my dress, and at that point I was just 3 days away from traveling to Florida for my wedding. My prior appointment had me spiraling and I began spending tons of money ordering reception dresses last minute because I was worried that I would not feel comfortable in my dress. When I went back to pick up my dress, it looked awful, as it was now cut in a new way that had the top of the dress digging into my armpits, and sent me into a panic. They were understanding and cooperative with me and ultimately were able to fix the dress while I waited so I was able to bring it home that night. Ultimately, I was very glad that I ended up finding a second dress for my reception because come my wedding day, the bustle was too long. When I had the dress bustled at the reception, people kept stepping on it and I almost tripped a number of times. We also had a retired wedding dress designer at our wedding who came up to me and told me my bustle was too long.
I would recommend Paul Francis to a bride as a store but would advise you to give them a wedding date at least 2 months before your actual date and to go elsewhere for...
Read moreWow, this was an amazing experience. I definitely give it 5 stars! We were shopping for my nieceâs wedding gown & this was our last shop to visit. It definitely turned out to be âBEST for Lastâ!
LOCATION: This bridal shop is in an elegant, beautiful building (must see). They closed the doors for our group & the ambiance was fantastic. Every fitting is private, personal & special with champagne & hors dâoeuvres to boot. It was so tasteful and so FUN! FUN: Did I say FUN? đ YES! GOWNS: The quality, assortment & options with gowns, at this shop, blew away the other shops that we visited. The bride-to-be (my niece) said she couldnât believe she could feel the difference in quality when she tried each dress. ALTERATIONS: At other shops we were told our alterations (not only expensive) but were done outside of shop & would be up to us. At âPaul Francis Bridalâthey do the alterations that you desire right there! SERVICE: Ok, the service was killer in that Michael, Hector & Gabby (someone correct me if Iâm wrong on that name) paid so much attention to detail. They picked up on every word my niece said & then they nailed it! They paid SO much attention, that even though she didnât know exactly what she wanted, they created & brought out the perfect gown for her by listening intently on her likes/dislikes. No other shop had this laser-focus. PASSION: Other shops we visited seemed like they are doing their job & doing it well. I think the difference we felt at âPaul Francisâ was that they seemed to really care & seemed passionate about what they do! â¤ď¸ Love that. Loved this shop...
Read moreI cannot say enough great things about Michael and Hector. I had been to a few bridal shops before and they all had their pros and cons but I was lucky to have found the PERFECT dress here. The experience was by far the best I had- I truly felt all eyes were on me and everyone was focused on finding me MY perfect dress. Both Hector and Michael had such great insights and clearly know the industry really well. I didn't feel rushed or pressured to pick a dress. I am a really indecisive person in general but felt really confident and comfortable making such a big choice at Paul Francis Bridal. A major part of my being comfortable with my decision was knowing that Hector will be there through the entire process- he took to the time to get to know me and my personal style (even though my description of what i was looking for was all over the place). From picking the perfect dress (he gave very honest feedback and i could tell he would want a bride to feel her best and settle for nothing less), to helping with my vision for the customizations, answering all of my questions, and letting me know he will handle alterations (Michael even offered to help fluff the train day of the wedding) I am confident the whole Paul Francis team will do whatever it takes get any bride down the aisle feeling confident and looking her very best. Honestly the experience was unlike any other experience i had at any other shop. I really appreciate all of your efforts and I will certainly be recommending Paul Francis to all of my...
