Food has always been decent here but the past two occasions we have been there including this most recent visit has not been a pleasant one. Shrimp appetizer was good fried mushrooms were bland just battered and fried need to add your own spices, salt and pepper a must like I said nothing special served with a side of ranch. Then my husband ordered their barbecue burger asked for Bacon on it didn’t get bacon on it after he was 90% done they brought a side of two slices of the driest bacon I’ve ever seen. I ordered scallop and whole belly clam plate which had to send back because it obviously was frozen because the batter wouldn’t even stick to it bellies felt like a big gummy ball in my mouth. Absolutely disgusting only ate one.My husband only ate one of my scallops and was inedible because it was frozen not fresh as my husband was still eating his dinner my new plate arrived packed in a to go plate who does this while we are still dining? Food which was overly fried once this time,no flavor no salt and pepper. Just put in flour and fried absolutely disgusting , we will never eat seafood from here again unless it’s fried Shrimp can’t go wrong that’s the only seafood they’re doing right . I frequent Jamie Lynn's anytime I am in Woodsville. The service is always fantastic. Koti and Jaclyn are always pleasant and welcoming when I dine in, and I have never had a "bad service" experience. The food... oh man, the food is chefs kiss! My favorite dish to order is the smothered burrito, and the way the chef cooks the meat is perfection. They certainly know what they're doing. I have dined in and ordered take out 10+ times in the past 7-8 months and there was only one time I wasn't blown away by the deliciousness that they offer. But it wasn't because the food was bad, because it was good, it just wasn't for my flavor palette. I had tried something new and it just wasn't for me, much like when anyone tried something new and decides, "meh, I just won't order that again." Had really high hopes for the place based on the reviews. Arrived at 4:55PM on a Monday the place was 80% empty and it's TINY, maybe 10 tables? Was seated right away with a party of 5. At 5:10 the waitress came back and asked for our drink order. At 5:20 she came back with the drinks, 2 mixed and 3 beers, at this point we had to ask for menus. At 5:30 she came to take our order and announced no whole belly clams or shrimp. The clams were the only reason we were there. At 6PM 3 of us were served and 10 minutes later the other two fried plates were served. What we did order was OK, I personally found the batter on the fried oysters too salty, my sister didn't like the scallops but the other 3 meals, Chicken fingers & 2 fish & Chips we decent.
