I’m embarrassed how much money I recently spent at this restaurant. It’s close by and I just started a new job that requires me to be onsite more. So I sit in traffic for over an hour. I’ve never eaten inside, takeout only. Im wondering if that’s part of the issue, but I always ordered either the steak hibachi or the 1/2 chicken 1/2 steak hibachi. I started to notice whenever I ordered just the steak hibachi. They would purposely put a bunch of vegetables underneath the steak to make it look more full. When I order half chicken half steak, the chicken is overflowing. I understand steak costs more than chicken, But that’s why the steak/chicken combo hibachi meal is much more than just the chicken. The manager is an arrogant a** h. He knows how much I spend there each week. He wanted to up charge me for sauce which is normally included $2. I asked to speak to the manager and he’s so fake friendly to my face when I’m spending money. I explained to him and the sweet receptionist that this normally comes free. I even told him he can keep his unflavored miso soup for someone else. STILL wouldn’t take the extra $2 off my bill. I told him, okay. You keep the order then. I order a similar plate from a place in Salem NH. It’s cheaper, way bigger portions. The soup is actually delicious and not flavorless broth with a few scallions and maybe 1 mushroom. I ordered delivery tonight, November 20th, from O Yummy. After I had started eating my dinner, something stabbed straight into my gum, and drew blood. I fished it out from my mouth, and it was a staple. There was no way it could have gotten into my food from the delivery bag because the case was still closed when a placed the bag aside.
I then called the restaurant and asked to speak to the manager, so that I could voice my complaint. He did not have time to speak to me, and clearly did not care.
Clearly this restaurant's quality control is beyond poor, and the kitchen staff is unattentive. Otherwise, it would not have been possible for a STAPLE to get into my dish.
It is safe to say that I will not be ordering food from this restaurant again.

The National Anthem was about to come on, the TV was muted, I was not paying attention to the television, and frankly was not at a Japanese restaurant to watch the game. I was there to be with friends who I hadn't seen in months. I also was not drinking alcohol. This was when the manager confronted us and told us in a raised voice to "Have Some Respect" making an unnecessary scene. Well manager, I think you need to go look up the definition of respect and apply that to your position as a manager when confronting patrons who are complete strangers.
