Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Havre de Grace

The staff at this location have 0 customer service skills and have no idea what they are doing. I called tonight to try to place an order for delivery. The phone rang for a very long time before someone answered very rudely and said “HELLO?? I mean...havre de grace Pizza Hut can I help you”, with an attitude. I thought that was strange but I brushed it off and tried to order. I was on the phone for 15 minutes with someone who kept telling me that they were new and had not been trained to take orders. They kept telling me that they had no idea what they were doing and that they needed someone to help them to take my order but there were “no staff in here”. Finally I got put on the phone with Alyssa who supposedly knew how to take my order. I asked for a chicken bacon Parmesan pizza. You would have thought I was speaking Japanese. She had no idea what this was and was very confused. “Chicken???Parmesan???” I have been ordering this pizza for at least a year and a half, it is not a new item and is featured on their website. Alyssa says “that’s a new one for me”. Um ok. So I get through that painful process only to realize after hanging up that I forgot to give them my card information. I tried to call back for 15 minutes but someone kept answering and then hanging up on me before I could even say anything, just click. I let my husband know and he tried for a while and finally got through. They told him that they had no history of an order for me! We told them to just forget about it and we will...

We ordered online to do curb side pickup. Our order would be ready for pickup in thirty minutes, we arrived the parking lot was full, so we knew it might take a little longer. We called the number to let them know we had arrived three times and never got to speak to a person. Choosing option 2 the call would place us on hold and then disconnect the line. Finally, we chose option 1 and got a real person, but she only takes orders and sends it to your choice for pickup. She then transferred us directly to our Pizza Hut and an employee working there picked up the phone finally. We gave her the information and were told our order would be right out. It did not come right out. It has now been 1.5 hours since we ordered the pizza. We called in again but this time to speak to the manager. But, “she was busy working the ovens” we were told. Another 10 minutes our food is brought out, and we were told there would be no charge—due to the wait. Before driving off, we checked the order—it is missing breadsticks!! This time I go inside the breadsticks were sitting there had not come out with the order, the frazzled overworked manager spoke “ I was wondering who they belonged too”. We realize workers are working with less crew, are tired and overworked, but it would be nice to know if we could have been alerted of the longer...

This restaurant was as expected. First of all, when we initially ordered water, the waitress said the water in the restaurant was not running and they were out, which is concerning. Therefore, she made us order fountain drinks only to come back with bottled water. One of the most distinct things I remember from this experience was hearing the staff yelling to each other in the kitchen. The kitchen is not really separated from the restaurant so you can hear all of the drama in the back. This was distracting from any conversation we might want to have at our table. Another thing is that the “personal pizzas” were really kid sized- although it is cheap, it should be noted that this is a snack size. Much like dominos, the food was the very greased, yet seasoned, pizza, which is expected and best as drunk food to satisfy cravings. Thus, I did not find this to be bad or surpriing . We know what we are getting into with fast casual pizza chains. The other odd thing was the waitress’s flat affect. Maybe there is a reason for this, but she did not use transitions when speaking to us when she came to the table... she would just come and say so, are you done? No emotion whatsoever. Anyway, overall bizarre experience. Nothing went particularly well but also nothing went...
