River City Crabs & Seafood — Restaurant in Havre de Grace

It’s very rear that I write a review, but the treatment that I received from this business was not acceptable. 1st let me start with I drove there 25 minutes from my home because after searching for large crabs for over an hour (this included calling around everywhere) I finally get Gibby’s on the phone and the lady tells me that she has one large dozen of crabs... I get there and the crabs are super small with the exception of 2-3 of them so I complained. The owner happen to be there so he walked over and pulled a crab out of the bag with his bare hands and begin to measure the crab with a measurement tool according to him a large crab measure at least 6-6.5 inches from point to point.... Needless to say after measuring the crab with him it was pretty apparent that the crab was 5.5 to 6in which according to him is a medium crab. So he toss the crab back in the bag and stated “You could leave it here” thats what I should have done but I paid full price because I wanted it to be know that this is what they are selling as large female crabs... And yes they are rude..... I believe that the way he spoke to me was directly related to the color of my skin. Especially, given the fact that he put his bare hands into my bag and pulled the crab out to measaure it..... And when he was done tossed it back in the bag....... Stay away from this place if you wanted to be treated like you are human and if you value blue crabs the way I do and would like them to be the correct size. DONT GET BEAT IN THIS CRAB...

This was third time I have had a bad experience with this establishment. First time I ordered broiled fish and I specifically asked for broiled and made sure and I rcvd fried. I could not eat fried. I bought it back and the owner was very rude and nasty. And when he attempted to give me my money back he didn't know how to work the register and he didn't give me back my tax. When I asked for my tax he said oh you want that back to? In a very condisending attitude. He couldn't figure out how to take it out of the register so I told him to give the change as a tip to the girls. The second time we didn't receive all of our order. And now today on July 2 I ordered in advance 100 clams they told me they put the clams on the side for me in my name I called them back and said do you want me to pay for them in advance and they told me no just come in today at 11 when we open And we will have them ready for you. Well I got there at 11 and they had no clams left and he told me and his lovely attitude well it is a holiday weekend and we don't have any clams. He told me to try the grocery store. Don't go there I don't care that he has fresh fish in this area go someplace else drive an hour away to get your fresh fish the...

Do not go to this place if you are a female, or a non confrontational male! I came here ( ad a female) and order 2 dozen male crabs. The guy that took my order told me it would be 28-30 mins! I came back in 30 mins.. and her said it would be another 16 mins.. so I wait! Go back in with my husband and he say they turned on the wrong pot and it was gonna be another 30 mins! Which mind you, when I came back in the second time he told me and dude told me it be STILL another 20 mins! But, because I came in when they were not busy and got smaller carbs they choose to make it seem like my order wasn’t important ! I waited over an hour!!! Like 1 hr and 23 mins, that was only supposed to be 28 mins! I feel like because I was a female ordering they thought they could do whatever! Once my husband came in, they were offering FREE dozen, and willing to reimburse me a dozen!!! I just want to let ppl know, that they definitely try to get over on females if they can make money! And I find that very sad! And I can’t believe that they would actually act differently from a man to a women!!! They do have hood crabs! But don’t get...
