Visited today (8/26/23), our first visit since the restaurant changed hands. Yes, it was a little busy but service was extremely slow.
I ordered theTwo Eggs - Served with Diced Potatoes and your choice of Toast and Added Bacon.
Hubster ordered the Country Breakfast - Two Eggs, Diced Potatoes, Toast, Two Pancakes and sausage patties.
Waited over 30 minutes for our food . Hubster received bacon instead of sausage (he was hungry so he didn't ask for it to be corrected) and he didn't receive his pancakes. I didn't receive my potatoes. Took another 10 minutes to receive our missing food.
Our first warm up of our coffee was half a cup until a different person, possibly a manager/owner filled out cups.
Sadly, we will probably not be going back. There was no urgency by the waitstaff. The manager/owner was the only one who cared about his customers. We both admitted going to a chain restaurant would have been a better experience.
Last visit was in the fall of 2022. Our first visit and it was awesome. Friendly staff. The pancakes were so yummy. They make homemade sodas! The best diet coke ever. It was so smooth, the perfect amount of carbonation.
They have table seating and a counter. We were there right after they opened and we watched it fill up while we were dining.
Took me back to sitting at my mom's kitchen table. Very nostalgic.
We are heading back next week, when my daughter is in town.
They are open every...
Read more9/5/21 - Middle of the rode experience for us - hit them up on a Labor day weekend Sunday around 12:45 and decided to pop in for breakfast after shopping at a few local spots. Cute 50s decor, clean tables and restaurant and a friendly greeting to sit anywhere we liked by a lady who brought us menus right away.
The young lady who served us didn't seem to be thrilled to be at work (I waitressed many years..you have to be cheerful with your customers, even if you're faking it). Took her awhile to get to us despite the restaurant not being busy but we were ready with our entire order.
Food also took a while but I wouldn't expect a smaller restaurant to be as fast as a chain and the atmosphere was relaxed. Husband had french toast and scrambled eggs, I had a breakfast bowl and a side of WW toast and we had 2 OJs to drink. Very average taste-wise for both of us, I didn't finish my bowl since the hashbrowns just tasted 'day-old' and had cheese when I'd asked for none.
Bill didn't come, despite the young lady walking to other tables next to us - ended up going up to the counter where she expressed annoyance with 'the machine being slow' as she printed out the bill. Probably wouldn't go back...
Read moreThis is a really cute place and appears clean. The food was pretty good. The staff is rather polite too. A few things need improvement. I recommend properly training the staff, as no one was knowledgeable about the menu. Two different servers approached us 3 separate times to ask us about our order. They stated that certain items on the menu were not actually available. For example, my husband orders a tuna melt which is described on the menu as “open-faced”. The server comes over and says “we only have turkey or roast beef as an open faced sandwich.” I said, “No, he ordered a tuna melt.” She says “Oh ok”. Comes back with the food and the tuna melt is NOT open faced. It’s served as a closed sandwich with cheese only on one half. My silverware was dirty so I grabbed another set off the table. Menus are printed on paper and are not laminated, so they cannot be wiped off. It’s kind of unappetizing to be handling a menu with food stains all over it. By the way the “superfood slaw” is literally bagged slaw mix with cole slaw dressing. Wasn’t terrible, but a little misleading. I thought this place was new since I seemed so disorganized. Just needs some more solid...
