Wish I could give 10 stars.

The menu is incredible! I am told it changes weekly (this week they had some St Patrick Day inspired food). I ordered the Korean chicken and waffles with gojuchang butter and sesame syrup. It was out of this world good! One of those dishes I'll dream about. My husband got the tahitian Lime shrimp and rice and slaw. It was light and delicious! But the real star of the show is the lady at the counter who made my little girl happy. My 5 year old daughter was feeling extremely under the weather today and just wanted a grilled cheese sandwich. After reading the menu to my daughter and her not wanting any of it, I was planning on going somewhere else for her sandwich. But I didn't have to because the lady working said she'd see what she could do and made her a grilled cheese. The way my daughter's eyes lit up when she saw her sandwich was priceless. She was so happy. And she felt so much better afterwards! If only we didn't live on O'ahu, we'd be back! A...

Amazing flavors on the Big Island A couple months ago doing research, I came across Aloha Mondays. It's a catering company that also offers lunch and dinner takeout with a menu that changes weekly using locally-grown ingredients. On the big island last week we included a stop there in our plans, and boy are we glad we did!

We got these two dishes and shared them, amazing!

Left dish in the photo Kulana Steak Sandwich - made with Mushrooms & Melted Swiss Cheese, Sautéed Bell Peppers & Onion. Does purple things are BBQ 'Uala Chips.

Right side of photo is their Shredded Chicken Wet Burrito - served with Chipotle Enchilada Sauce, Rice, Beans & Cheese and includes sides of Pineapple Pico de Gallo & Cilantro-Scallion Sour Cream

If the Big Island (Hawaii) is in your travel plans, I highly recommend getting on their mailing list - and plan a meal (or more) for take-out there. If it's nice weather, we found great picnic tables at Queen Likiokalani Gardens...

This place is absolutely phenomenal!!! From the top notch, ever changing menu that showcases the unreal skill and creativity of the crew, the onolicious mind-blowing flavors and combinations, to the presentation of each dish while supporting local and providing 5 star quality service going above and beyond to make sure you are treated like ohana is just pure aloha! I've eaten so many places across the islands and parts of the world & this hole in the wall is absolutely one of the greatest establishments I've been blessed to support & I would recommend eating here to anybody who calls themself a foodie or an aficionado and lover of all things exquisite and magnificent because my mouth is broken and I plan on getting it broke for years to come!!! Lol mahalo nui loa from the bottom of my heart for everything you guys do & please don't ever stop!! Your passion and love for your crafts shows & you deserve infinite blessings!!! 🙏🤙🔥...

As regulars of Aloha Mondays, we knew it would be something truly special to feature one of our favorite Hilo eateries at our wedding, and it absolutely was. Geana worked closely with us to create a custom menu, and the result was beyond anything we could have imagined. So many of our guests told us it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had...and we couldn’t agree more. Some of my personal favorites include: Pupus: The ahi poke bomb and the mushroom poke bomb (a perfect option for our vegetarian guests), and the heart of palm lumpia was honestly out of this world. Every bite was flavorful, crunchy, thoughtful, and made with so much care. Dinner: Chinese Black Bean Steamed Kona Kampachi, the Slow Braised Szechuan Shortribs, Chocolate Bread Pudding with Haupia Sauce. Thank you, Aloha Mondays, for feeding our favorite people in the world and fueling us for a full night of dancing. We’re so grateful.
