"There is nowhere you could go that I won't be with you." - Moana

Once in awhile you'll find a place that exceeds expectations. Add Ola Brew - Hilo to that short list! After I was picked up at BIG Hilo Airport I was famished and told my sista let's get brunch!

Ola Brew has been on both of our lists for a while, even though I've had the beer on previous visits, it was always a can or bottle from KTA. On this late morning the planets aligned and Ola Brew it is! On a Sunday the posted hours say 11:00am open, however when we arrived a tad after 10:30am the doors were already open with customers inside. I should have confirmed, but I would guess the opening time is 10:00am-ish?

Upon entering we were warmly greeted and led to one of the high cafe tables. Each employee we encountered friendly with a calm vibe. I instantly fell in love with the natural light ambiance and high ceilings. The Sunday menu offered brunch so I opted for the ADOBO FRIED RICE OMELETTE 3 egg omelet filled with Adobo fried rice and topped with house-made Hollandaise ($18). Sis chose the AVOCADO TOAST served with hard boiled eggs and fries from the Keiki Menu ($12).

We each ordered FLIGHTS (chose four). I chose a combination of Beers and Hard Juices ($15 each). I especially loved the Dragon Fruit Lemonade and the Luhia Pale Ale. Tita loved the Tangelo! I loved how the staff had no limit to combinations unlike other breweries. I also highly suggest you leave a choice for the friendly staff to pick for you.

The turnaround time was clockwork. Our brunch in front of us minutes after receiving our Flights. Oh my! The ADOBO FRIED RICE OMELETTE was beyond amazing with chunks of pork and well seasoned rice. Adult Sis enjoyed her Keiki meal and tho it's listed as a kids meal... the serving was very generous and adults would be well fed!

In the end, I highly recommend Ola Brew - Hilo. Located in downtown Hilo it's easy to find with plenty parking! Sista who lives in the area easily parked her Big Island Tita-lifted-Toyota-truck-with-fat-mud-tires into da stall lol! Chee hooo!:D

This is a small eclectic little place to visit. Great place to bring friends and have a snack while you are chatting.

The drinks are reasonably priced and the selection is way more than just beer. They offer juices, teas, and seltzers (hard and not hard). I highly recommend getting the taster beverages so you can try more varieties. There is no difference between normal taster price and the cost of a flight... The flight just means "pick 4 tasters".

The food was actually really really good! I didn't really go in giving much thought to the food, but i was genuinely impressed. The bao were tender and fluffy without being steam burned or soggy. The toppings were very well seasoned. For those unfamiliar, i would liken it to something like a very light fluffy pita... That doesn't do it justice, but most people can relate to a pita faster than the can a bao.

I also tried the curry fries and the crispy ice cream bao. The curry was Japanese style and served with pickled ginger. Excellent flavor.

But the crispy ice cream bao... That took the cake. Next time i go I'm starting with that. The bao is cut into pieces and fried to a consistency similar to the finest French toast then powdered with cinnamon sugar, drizzled with caramel and topped with chopped walnuts! I can't even... I got vanilla bean ice cream with it also drizzled in caramel and walnuts.

Will i go back. Yes. Will i take friends. Yes. Would i take my boss. Yes. Would i take a toddler. Probably not... There is probably enough room that they could safely run around, i don't think anyone would mind at all even but it didn't feel like a real kiddo kind of place. You should check out imiloa of you have kids though.

I can't recommend Ola Brew enough. It was a top notch place to grab some unique and delicious adult beverages as well as a quick bite to eat. Aloha guys and thanks for...

Ola Brew is a delightful gem for burger enthusiasts. Nestled in a vibrant location, this restaurant has earned a stellar reputation, particularly for its signature Ola Burgers.

The ambiance at Ola Brew is welcoming and casual, making it an ideal spot for both relaxed lunches and lively dinners. The decor combines rustic charm with modern touches, creating an inviting atmosphere that enhances the dining experience.

The star of the menu, the Ola Burger, is nothing short of spectacular. Crafted with a perfectly seasoned patty, it boasts a juicy, flavorful bite that sets it apart from typical burgers. Each burger is topped with fresh, high-quality ingredients that complement the patty without overwhelming it. The buns are soft yet sturdy, providing the perfect vessel for the delicious contents within.

Beyond the Ola Burger, the restaurant offers a variety of sides and accompaniments that are equally noteworthy. The fries are crispy and well-seasoned, and the selection of house-made sauces adds an extra layer of flavor to the meal.

Service at Ola Brew is commendable. The staff is attentive and friendly, ensuring that diners have a pleasant and enjoyable experience from start to finish. They are knowledgeable about the menu and are more than willing to make recommendations.

Overall, Ola Brew stands out as a must-visit destination for anyone in search of a fantastic burger. The combination of delicious food, inviting atmosphere, and excellent service makes it a top choice for burger lovers and food...
