I've never had an issue with ordering Arby's on doordash before. Today was a different story. After a long week and a half of work, my little sister wanted to treat her siblings to some grub since we all finally had a day off and able to have down time together. Arby's was our indulgence of choice.
When the dasher dropped off our order, we went inside and opened the packages, only to find we were missing two out of five meals. We thought, "OK, nbd, this happens." Or so we thought. Sis called the Arby's location and explained the situation. Being an essential worker who works in fast food as well, we understood that human error happens. Shawn (sp?) answered who also happened to be the one who packed our order- as she repeatedly insisted multiple times- seemingly insinuating that my sis was lying about what we received. Arby's employee Shawn implored my sis to call the dasher for reasons unknown to me.
My sis being someone who is wary of conflict, did just that. However the dasher was clocked out for the day and insisted there was nothing she could do.
Just then, the Arby's employee ended up calling my sister back, asking if she got the problem resolved. To which we did not but we were thinking of just reordering with the refund through doordash; this seemed to be the best route because it was nbd.The Arby's employee once again instead that the order was correct and that she bagged it herself yet offered to drive to our house herself and drop off the missing meals. This put us on unease because just a few seconds earlier, this Arby's employee was insisting in a tone that, to me, sounded very gaslighty and condensing toward someone who just wanted to get some quick grub, did a full 180° and offered to drive to us in the boonies of Ewa Beach to drop off our missing meals. My sister...
Read moreA standard Arby's. Interior of the building is a bit dated but has an odd 50's diner feel to it. Place smells like my grandma's house, so that is an added bonus. Food was good, timely and accurate. No real complaints, nothing way above and beyond and nothing horrible or out of place. We will return here in the future.
An update to my original review....this Arby's does not accept coupons of any kind, even if they explicitly state "Waipahu Arby's" on the coupon. They also refuse to honor vouchers issued from their corporate office for their less than stellar service, again, even though the voucher states explicitly on the back "VALID AT ALL ARBY'S." Not "Only Arby's in the Continental US," or "Only Valid at Participating Locations."
Service was spotty at best previously. It has not gotten better. The dining room is open sporadically, but a sign on the door says it closes at 2 pm....so cars back up into the street, which creates nice traffic issues. I recommend either trying the other Arby's or skipping Arby's all together at this point. Their prices were never anything to write home about, but alienating your consumer base on top of high prices is a formula for closing down....kind of like the third (now closed) Arby's on island. Too many other places on island that will happily take your hard earned money, provide better service and treat you as a valued customer.
It's sad really because, as a family, we use to love and look forward to enjoying Arby's. We grew up on it matter of fact and now this. What a letdown. Nothing says "happy dinner" like two disappointed kids and a mad wife.
Went back here to see if things were better. No dice. Not sure why I keep...
Read moreI've had better experiences with Arby's before. This is my first time at this location so I'm not sure if it is normally this bad or not. We did the drive thru, I ordered a market fresh sandwich with no sauce. We got to the window and the guy said "did you want sauce on that sandwich?"
"No thank you! 😁" "Mayo on it?" "Nope, nothing at all please, zero sauce, no mayo, mustard or anything. Boring I know hehe" "Oh, ok!"
We drive off and there is mayo all over my sandwich, not a little, like both sides, oozing out. It shouldn't matter if it's just a dislike for sauce or, like in my case, a medical issue is caused by the stuff, they checked, double checked and still made an error. Plus they gave us cold fries. I called their number to talk to them and they didn't answer. I wanted to just let them know about the situation, so, with great frustration, and a meal I don't want to eat I post here. Side note, the drive thru order speaker is either quiet or the girl was quiet, we couldn't hear very well and had to keep asking for her to repeat. So the speaker might be wonky and need to be fixed. Another side note, I love the Arby's at NEX, never have issues there. Very sad! ☹ Have a great...
