If you like taking your money and throwing in the cash, then go ahead and eat here. You are better off getting snacks from the store.

I gave it 2 stars for the fish and rib. The veggies were frozen veggies. They were so GROSS, and some were hard. The rice was plain, no butter. Only salt and pepper were in small packets.

You will pay the same price as a nice sit-down restaurant in town, where you will get served and not get your own food and drinks.

The salad and cookies were out in the open, where they can be sneezed on. The cookies we had were doughy - GROSS.

I HATE wasting money, and this was the biggest waste of money on the island.

I think they had to go catch the fish - yes, it took that long to get the food.

We didn't even have ice for our drinks.

There's no relaxing while you eat with LOUD music blasting in the next room.

For the next few days, I'll be eating snacks from the store.

I don't understand the folks giving this place a 5 Star.

Parking = walked from room

Service = 3 Stars

Food = 2 Stars

Drinks = 1 Star - fountain drinks

Dessert = 1 Star

Cleanliness = 4 Stars, being so outdated can't tell if it's...

We found this place searching for a decent breakfast near to the park. Cafeteria style cafe, as written before me. Location and environment makes it better than in the images. Food was good (breakfast), hot and fresh, arriving fast, we found no problem with that. Service was slow, cashier was new, so had to ask another there. Interior is nothing special, at least plenty of space. During our visit, there were only a few other customer. Mood and vibe is between 3 and 4 halfway. Reminds me the old school trips, but nothing extra. Parking was easy in the early hours, and has enough parking slots in front and back as well. Could recommend for breakfast if visiting the Park, as other place in vicinity does not open that early, or have...

Considering the location, pretty reasonable prices on the food. Specials depending on the day. We were staying on KMC on a Friday and Saturday so we had the fish and chips on Friday. On Saturday I had the teriyaki chicken and rice. Food was good! There is no waitress. You place your order at the cashier when you go in and you get a number on your receipt. When your food is ready, they call your number and you go pick it up from the chef. It was pretty busy on Friday night and the Cafe seemed a bit under staffed keeping up with the flow of people. But everyone was pleasant and all worked hard. Price includes salad and a drink. Overall I thought it was...

2023: this is one of the places you can eat if you are staying at the Kilauea military camp lodge inside Volcanos National Park Hawaii. You order from the lady at the register. They serve breakfast and dinner and are closed in between. When your meal is ready they will call your number. Drinks, ice cream, salads are included. The meal was pretty good for comfort food. I had the roast pork wish mashed potatoes, gravy and side of veggies. It is served in paper containers. This dining room is pretty run down with zero esthetics. But it was priced at a good value.
