Daiichi Ramen — Restaurant in Hawaii

WOW. RUDEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER ! Wish I could give this place negative stars. This place has TRULY gone down hill majorly. I came here once before COVID & LOVED IT. I got black garlic on the side of my mapo tofu ramen. I remember it clearly. I have had this for fact same ramen at the Daiichi Ramen in Kona. Mapo Tofu & Black Garlic on the side. I have had it weekly this past month because I love it so much. Today, I come back on my drive to Pahoa. Decide to come into this location. I order the EXACT same thing. The waiter was VERY rude. Argued with me that THEY NEVER SERVE BLACK GARLIC ON THE SIDE. Was so rude. 😭 Told me I was not of sound mind. That I was crazy. Said they NEVER serve black garlic on the side. But, I have this dish WEEKLY in Kona. The first time I had it was HERE. You NEVER serve it this way ? Even though this location is the first place I got it ?! Bovine Scatology. I’m sorry. I could not believe what I was hearing. This chain ? I used to think they were top notch. Give your business to ANYWHERE but here. Any other ramen is fantastic in comparison to getting called crazy on a dish that I order weekly. 😭 After a long drive over the saddle - it’s the last thing I wanted to hear was that I am crazy. Wish I could get my money back !!!!!! My food was probably spat in. ABSOLUTELY...

If I could leave zero stars, I would. I wish I never ordered from here and I will never order from here again. Ordered take out and when I walked in to pick up my order, I greeted them, they looked at me & I said I have a take out order. The person at the front counter didn’t even greet me. He asked “what’s your number?” And as I’m talking, he walks away and I’m now talking to the wall. The other person charges me, gives me my food, I tip them regardless, I say thank you and no response. As I walked out, customers that were just seated, also stood up and left. I think they knew what they were in for. You could have at least smiled, greeted me or said thank you. All of which, you did not do. As a person that has been in customer service for 9 years, I would never dismiss a customer that way you did me. As a person that was born and raised here, there’s no way you were. Aloha was born here and this restaurant doesn’t have it. Very very disrespectful. EVEN IF YOU ARE SHORT STAFFED, you could as least treat us like we’re...

Great Great Great food!!!! I had the order of Seafood fried rice and a side order of chicken katsu... it was bomb diggity. Only thing I didnt like... was slow service. It took the servers a long moment before they finally came to the table and before even bringing water.... it pretty much happened at the same time...brought water and a second later..."do you know what you wanna order" and thats with the restaurant at 50% capacity... I hate to see it at 100% possibly even slower service.... butttttt the silver lining is this.... food... is well worth it. Believe that... and the BOH (the cooks) was really quick about it too!!! Put the order in and only a few minutes passed by and the food was ready....ohh side note... when ordering the chicken katsu...ask off the bat for katsu sauce... that is all i...
