It's been awhile since I've been to KFC and I normally order chicken strips, at least that's what I thought they were called, so I was confused when I saw chicken tenders and chicken nuggets. The woman that took my order at the drive-thru window got quite frustrated and short with me as I was trying to figure out which I wanted. After the "argument" I finally received my order. I pulled around the corner to sit and eat and the chicken "tenders" were literally dripping with grease, it looked like they hadn't been drained at all, but were immediately put in the box right as soon as they were lifted from the deep fryer. On top of that, they were all really tiny, skinny, scrubby looking things, I tried to eat them but i couldn't, so I went back in and ask to speak to the manager. Turns out the woman who took my order was the manager. I told her it looked like maybe she was mad at me and picked out the worst ones she could and I said on top of that they were greasy. She glared at me and sarcastically said "I wasn't mad I was just trying to help you and we don't use grease, we use oil, and they don't look oily to me!" I replied that's because they've soaked up the remaining oil and I would like them replaced please. She kind of just stood there glaring at me, and I added, just give me five because I ate one! She just kept glaring at me and finally she grabbed the box, and started to walk away. I then said, never mind, I've lost my appetite, and I left. Running through my head was the expression, "Never piss off the chef!" I told her I lost my appetite - - and I left, not even asking for a...
Read moreI haven’t had KFC for a super long time, but because a friend bought us lunch yesterday, I was able to taste how things are now. My meal was decent. The chicken strips were not juicy but meaty. Strips are normally on the dry side but at least they were seasoned properly. I used my own BBQ sauce because I wasn’t interested in the ones provided. I’m not a Cole Slaw eater so instead I had two biscuits. They were on the dry side because when I cut one open it was crumbling apart which I really hate but at least they gave me a packet of honey for each one. With the honey it was definitely elevated so I was pleased. Had a Diet Coke which I rarely drink but my meal was free so was absolutely fine with that. An average meal, but it was bought by a kind heart so it to me tasted even better! Sorry I didn’t take a picture of the cole slaw from my husband’s meal box, but It was your average cole slaw along with the mashed potatoes and gravy A meal I definitely appreciated. Not sure how well KFC will do thru 2025 but at least they are better than CFA thru...
Read moreWe had a coupon and honestly, it's been around 30 years since I've been to a KFC. But we were in the mood for fried chicken and figured let's try it out!
We pulled up to the drive-through, said we had a coupon, and the person said to pull up to drive through window to see if the coupon would work.
He looked at it (8 piece chicken dinner) and said it would work and we asked for all dark meat original, with mashed potato, coleslaw, gravy, and biscuit sides.
We paid, he quickly got our food, gave it to us, and we drove off! Easy peasy!
When we got home, we were pleasantly surprised. The chicken was fresh, hot, and tasty. Sides were decent and arranged well.
Overall, the experience was outstanding! Super easy and fast dinner, tasty, and a good price. We don't eat fried chicken too often, but nice to know KFC is close by and not a bad option! I give it 5 stars because with KFC, you know what you're going for and it delivered on our...
