On July 1, 2023, three of us embarked on a mission to eat musubi at all 12 L&L locations on the Big Island. This was our last stop on our over 11 hour journey. Maybe it was the volume of rice loaf and meat we had eaten to that point, maybe it was the sheer bliss of knowing this was the finale to our mission, or maybe it was the ridiculously hilarious exchange with the guy at the counter when attempting to buy a t-shirt.
Overall, this was ranked the best L&L per the rules on our scorecards. The covered outdoor seating was lovely, the food was served fast and hot, and the musubi was exactly what we expected.

Read moreWe ate here yesterday March 5, 2019. Big disappointment. We ordered pork and cabbage, chicken fried rice, and a cheeseburger. The pork and cabbage was no seasoning, healthy portion of rice though. My friend has allergies with onions. Shame on you L&L BARBECUE! You aren’t interested in making good food AND NOT INTERESTED IN PRESERVING YOUR ISLAND!!! Be ashamed! Don’t eat here, save your money and eat somewhere they care about good food and taking care of their...

The person taking my order over charged me and wrote down more than I ordered but when I brought it to his attention he quickly refunded my money back. He then proceeded to over charge the folks behind me in line and put in their order incorrectly. I would go back but be more clear...
