Metro Taquero — Restaurant in Hayward

I came in yesterday at 2 & ordered steak fries & a large drink. The business was not busy, it was slow. So my food was ready pretty quickly and they called out my order number. I get up it’s in a bag already and they offer jalapeños and salsa. So I get home (took Bart) and I open it up to find there isn’t any steak on the steak fries which was a huge disappointment because I paid for them ($11.99+ $1 charge because of something, I didn’t finish reading the reason why that was taped on the register). I called them & they said they can’t do anything about it, so please check your bags before leaving the place if you order to-go (in person) bc they said they can’t do anything about it unless you are at their store in person. In Hayward, just off of Mission Street in what is hayward's equivalent of a little Zocalo, Latino couples, and Families walk around in the summer evening enjoying the nice weather, and also the delicious tacos from Metro Taquero. Small chain with three locations in the East Bay, this particular location had some rock-solid tacos, and good fresh sides. I ordered 2 Al pastor, 2 carnitas, and one Pollo Asado. They were all really good, I was happy to see that they were cooking most of the meat fresh on the grill, the staff was really cool. Even at some of the better Taco places I can't find a really Soul searing hot sauce, but this place did not disappoint, as they have house sauce called Salsa Diabla, which had a nice solid burn. We have gone to this place since they opened. We usually go at least 2 times a week. The food is good but the SERVICE IS HORRIBLE!!!! It’s BAD. Most of the time they get the order right (I ask them to repeat the order back to me to make sure they got it correctly) but the cooks make orders WRONG or they always make a mistake. I just went today Ordered 3 orders of kids tacos with rice and beans, I told them NO CILANTRO and NO ONIONS. Well, I believe the put cilantro and onions to all 3 orders, they realized the order was no cilantro or onions, they made new tacos but they left cilantro and onions EVERYWHERE in the plate, they spilled it on the rice and beans and under the new tacos, NO PROFESSIONAL!! NASTY!! HOPEFULLY the OWNER could fix this constant problem, it’s worth it...
