Canes is a highly recommended spot for chicken tender lovers. After hearing so many recommendations, I finally tried out the new location, and I was quite satisfied. Although the service was average due to the crowd and wait time, the staff was friendly. There was a small issue with my order as I requested to dine in, but they gave it to me to-go. I understand, though, considering the high customer volume and their effort to serve quickly. As for the food, it was definitely worth it. The bread is soft and flavorful, and the sauce is the perfect complement to each bite. The fries are cooked just right, without too much salt, and the coleslaw has a pleasant taste. The chicken tenders were the true highlight: the chicken is juicy, with a tasty breading, and it’s even better when combined with the sauce. Although I missed a bit of spiciness (which is not part of their concept), I really enjoyed the experience. For those looking for a larger portion, I recommend the six-piece option, as the box combo can feel a bit small. Overall, Canes has won a new customer, and I’ll definitely be back.

Was really excited to try Canes since it's really hyped. It's loud as hell in here, too small and crowded, dirty tables and floor. Line was long and no clear indication of where to stand, with people cutting as they pleased. Had to stand awkwardly next to people eating. Waiting for my order was not the best experience, took forever (25 min+) and I couldn't tell if they said my name or not because they speak so quietly and the counter is crowded with people, with the order numbers facing away behind the bags so you can't see them. Now for the most important part, the food. I got the box combo. A bit overpriced, and the chicken pieces were significantly smaller than other canes I've been to. Very inconsistent size between the pieces. Chicken was juicy but a little bland with no seasoning. Fries were overly salted but still tasty. Sauce was good but ran out too quickly. Bread was just bread. Have to eat your food quick or it will get soggy within minutes. Was lukewarm. Overall, terrible experience, but food was not bad, still hit the spot. Food itself deserves a 3.5, place and service a 2, pricing a 2. Verdict: over hyped

I love the fact this one is actually open instead of the San Jose one being closed. I however think the oil they use in this particular branch to be inconsistent. I came in today around 1130 which is pretty early in the day and the oil already feels leftover. The chicken breading is the darker brown which I normally associate with older oil than the lighter golden color I'm used to. Last time I came by about two weeks ago was not so. For those who does know chicken fingers by Raising Cane's is basically chicken tenders served at other places. It's good with the sauce when you get the chicken fresh. Like any fried food if you wait then the chicken doesn't taste as good. The chicken is only white meat so not as tender or juicy as dark meat but of course the frying and the dipping in sauce make up the difference somehow. Not the best Raising Cane's (best is still in Vegas) I've tried but I'm happy it's there when I miss it in the Bay Area. The servers are usually young and I like them. Parking can be harder to find closeby but not so bad that you can't find parking.

This Raising Canes location has recently opened in Hayward in the Bay Area whereas the first location to open is located in Oakland. I’m glad that it happened because I live in Fremont and that I had to take a long commute to go to one at Oakland. I didn’t want to go there during the afternoon due to traffic and so I waited until it’s night for traffic to clear up. This location is also convenient for those who go to CSUEB. As usual, the lines from the drive thru and store are very long. So expect some delay. Also, the atmosphere of this location is exactly like the one from Oakland. Not really surprised to be honest and they opened until very late at night either 2am or 3:30am. The food is good though. Not really going to have high expectations since it’s considered fast food and it’s fine for quality to be like ones from a restaurant. Also they do charge 50¢ for extra Raising Canes sauce. The food is cold when I arrived home but it’s all good and understandable since the drive was long.

I will say as someone who lived in Texas the last few years and had canes many times the size of the tenders today were slightly disappointing. They were tiny lol. But I will say kudos to the staff regardless the service was great. Everyone was so kind and friendly even with the chaos the restaurant is experiencing. I have missed canes since moving to the Bay Area dearly and will definitely come here for my fix till San Jose opens their location. I’d say anyone coming just come open minded the workers are doing their best. I just hope the tenders get bigger. But the food was hot and fresh so I’m grateful regardless. Went and waited in line instead of the drive thru I think I waited around 15 minutes to order. Then only about 12 for my food. The drive thru looked like it was about an hour. I just hope they will keep the dinning room open

Wow, it's very loud inside and outside. It reminded me of Disneyland, and it's loud enough to think they're calling people half a football field away. Very jarring eating experience. But the food was filling and quickly served, and it was good enough to take the leftovers home. So if you're hungry, you won't leave hungry that's for certain! But if you have any hearing issues, it's inescapable. You'll leave with a headache and and soon as you leave the sound barrier you'll realize you've actually been shouting the entire visit. EDIT: kindly responding to the reply from the owner - Thank you but no thank you. I feel my review to be clear, concise, and truthful enough to have my concerns be addressed without more input of my time. I did not actually eat here, I was accompanying friends and wrote this review based on their satieties.
